With the adverse effects of rapid economic growth on the environment, the status quo can not be optimistic about the wetlands, wetland resources present situation is also of concern. With the rapid development of China's economy, on the natural environment also put forward higher requirements, but our proposed wetland policy late, research has lagged behind, on wetland resources conservation and rational exploitation of the theoretical system has not yet formed, Unable to provide strong support for wetland conservation and exploitation.Suzhou District Wetland object clarify wetland resources protection and exploitation theory, provide a reference for the future sustainable development of wetland resources conservation and wetlands, in order to achieve coordinated development of local wetland nature conservation and socio-economic, has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper uses literature research, field research and research methods of qualitative analysis, Suzhou District, wetland resources conservation and rational exploitation of the object, to explore the local wetland resources protection and exploitation in the context of sustainable development and the use of background development ways and concrete measures. Suzhou District of wetland protection and management and rational exploitation and utilization of longitudinal clue study wetland resource development and utilization planning in Suzhou District designed a transverse section discusses conservation and utilization in Suzhou District wetland problems to seek scientific reasonable and feasible countermeasures and suggestions, designed to provide a scientific basis for wetland conservation in Suzhou District and rational development and utilization decisions.Investigation and analysis of the results showed that: First, Suzhou District has rich wetland resources, wetland area totaling 12.8 thousands hectares, mainly in the north of Suzhou District. Wherein: river wetland area 3.4 thousands hectares, accounting for26.55%; wetland area of 4.5 thousands hectares; lake wetland area 0.4 thousands hectares;4.5thousands hectares of marsh. Secondly, Suzhou District wetlands rich in flora and fauna and cultural resources, particularly waterfowl resources are more abundant, common,about 16 families, 50 species of birds, a national ? level protected animals swan, duck,eagle, eagle 17 kinds of owls. Third, the wetland resources protection measures taken in recent years, Suzhou District include: the establishment of wetland areas, strengthen the protection of water resources management, to carry out ecological management of wetlands, wetland resources survey carried out to strengthen the organization and management and education, and achieved remarkable results. But still not high public awareness of wetland protection, wetland protection regulation system is not perfect,many wetland management benefits department, coordination is difficult, imperfect system of protected areas, wetland construction and management should be standardized,scientific research and monitoring of wetlands and lack of technical and other issues behind. Finally, after the state of conservation of wetland ecological resources for scientific comprehensive evaluation, to ensure ecological wetland resources in Suzhou region of the healthy and sustainable development, given the appropriate set of scientific and orderly rational development and utilization countermeasures and suggestions.
