With the development of economy and society,energy excessive consumption and environmental pollution problems emerged in the light of tremendous growth of economic and improvement of material level.Especially,greenhouse effect and global warming problems due to excessive emissions of carbon dioxide has been seriously influenced people's daily life and production.At the background of energy conservation and emission reduction,low carbon development advocation,relevant researches become a hot issue.Studies of emissions efficiency of carbon dioxide and its dependences have no yet formed unified conclusion.This paper evaluates the emissions efficiency of carbon dioxide and analyzes its dependences' spatial influence mechanism.The main contents are as follows:The first part of the paper is evaluation of carbon dioxide emissions efficiency.This paper selects regional panel data from 2005 to 2013 years in China.Based on this data,we calculate the provincial carbon emissions in China by IPCC listing method.The following,we calculate and evaluate regional carbon dioxide emissions efficiency by DEA models dealing with the undesirable outputs,which include Super-SBM model,Window Analysis model and Malmquist index decomposition model.The results show that the provinces at the carbon dioxide emissions efficiency frontier account for 23.3% of the country,among which the southern coastal economic area's average efficiency is highest and the southwest economic area's average efficiency is lowest.The highest average redundancy rate of input and output indexes is the index of labor,and the lowest is the index of capital.The average redundancy rate of carbon emission index is 40.28% after the index of Labor.Efficiency of the middle areas of Yellow River,southern coastal area,the middle areas of Yangtze River's carbon emission has the ? convergence in the part of the year.The results of Malmquist index decomposition model show that technology progress contributes to the improvement in carbon emissions efficiency mostly.The second part of the paper is spatial econometric analysis of carbon emissions efficiency's influence factors.According to the existing papers,we analyze the carbon emissions efficiency's dependences in theory and then use spatial econometric methods to empirical analysis.The results show that provincial carbon emission efficiency has significant positive spatial autocorrelation.It reflects that the spatial distribution of the efficiency is not random,but presents the similar level of efficiency's province dependence on each other and obvious spatial "advantage" agglomeration.The local High-High and Low-Low groups are over 60% in our country.It reflects that the efficiency of China's regional carbon emission exists not only the main spatial dependence characteristics,also the performance of spatial heterogeneity.The results of constant parameter spatial economic model show that SDM is the optimal model.According to regional interior spillover of influence factors,the direct effect of the independent index of proportion of urban resident(UR)and research and development(RD)acting on the efficiency issignificant positive.It means that if the value of those independents increase,it would promote regional interior efficiency.The direct effect of the independent index of final consumption rate(FC),tertiary industry accounted for GDP(TI)and foreign trade dependency(FD)are on the contrary.According to the spillover of influence factors between regions,the independent index of UR is significant negative,but the FD is significant positive.It means that if the value of UR increases and the value of FD decreases,it would retrain other regions' efficiency.The results of variable parameter spatial economic model show that GWR based on exponential distance is the optimal model.At the different position of the provinces,the degree and direction impaction of carbon emission efficiency's influences exist differences to some extent.The influence of FD to carbon emission efficiency has a great difference in the provinces.Except for Midwest and other regions,the influence of FD to the efficiency is positive.The influence of UR,FC and TI to the efficiency has some differences in the provinces.The influence coefficient of UR is generally positive,which has a great impact on the part of the coastal economic developed areas.The influence coefficients of FC and TI to the efficiency fluctuate between positive and negative.The influence coefficient of RD to the efficiency has little fluctuation and the impaction is relatively weak.Finally,according to the empirical conclusions in this paper,in order to improve the carbon emission efficiency,relative policies have been recommendated,such as building reasonable urban-size;rational and low carbon consumption;accelerating transformation of the mode of economic development,building upgrade industrial structure;introducing foreign investment scientifically,achieving technology spillover effectively;improving the ability of independent innovation,strengthening the cooperation between industry,university and research.
