With the rapid development of computer, network technology and advanced control technology, the technology of automation control system has entered the network, integrative and intelligence stage. This paper focuses on Bayer polyurethane factory as the research object, analyze the process of polyurethane, build batch control system, and make preparation on using Emerson Delta V control system in polyurethane process.DeltaV system is the fourth-generation DCS system designed by Fisher-Rosemount, and completed used in the plant control. In the aspect of project carrying out, it discussed the configuration tools (including Batch control, communication, Faceplate, Module and Phase), In terms of implementation, explain the logic interlock control, MCC motor control. The configurations include Phase module, Operation module, Unit Procedure, Dosing module, ESD communication module and VIM module. Furthermore, the author completed using IFIX tool to design the operation interface and user logic. At the end, it made the whole processes of Polyurethane synthesize to be in a controlled appearance, guaranteed the formula of gel making process be accurate validly, and necessary function to the whole system of steady.After being put into operation, the system operates in stability and all the control functions are achieved. Practice has proved that the Delta V system for Polyurethane synthesis process control is feasible and it can reduce the man-made factors, improve the production quality.
