Research On Variable Parameter Design System Of Die Casting Die Based On Feature

With the rapid development of society,die casting die is also rapidly developed,in the increasingly fierce market competition,The requirement of die casting is more and more high.The gating system,as the channel of metal liquid flowing into the workpiece,will directly affect the quality of the die casting.In order to meet the needs of market development and rapid casting the high quality castings which can meet the requirements,enterprises must be tailored to the needs of the user customized die casting gating system.Aiming at the problems which were combined with the cumbersome of repeated generation of geometric characteristics,the complexity of operation and the discrete of design parameters during in the modeling of die casting,this paper proposes a modeling method with variable parameters as the dominant.This method combines the two parts of the parameter design and the characteristic design,and develops a complete set of variable parameter design system of die casting die based on UG,specific research content is as follows:(1)Aiming at the complexity of parameter design and discrete problems,based on the parameter design requirements,study the relation between die casting parameters,and combine with the actual demand,the paper put forward the design method of parameters based on the unified characteristic,lays the foundation for subsequent feature design.(2)According to the structure principle of gating system of die casting,based on the gating structure and function,in this paper,the gating system module function and unit packaging are studied.Through the analysis of the UG characteristic operation function,determined the modeling method of the gate and runner in gating system,and combined with the development of UG interface for parametric design of each module to achieve the rapid design of gating system.(3)In order to improve the practical value of the system and address the complexity of feature modification,this paper combined the change of parameters with the change of features,realized the variable parameter design of gating characteristics and the specific requirements of the user for gating characteristics.
