Acrylonitrile is an important raw material for chemical industry,chemical fiber,rubber and other synthetic industries.Acrylonitrile copolymer plastic pro duct made of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)and acrylonitrile-styrene(AS)are now widely used in food containers and food processing machinery and equipment,and acrylonitrile is also one of the main components of ABS and AS.However,acrylonitrile is also a kind of chemical choking agent and dang erous goods with high toxicity.The residual acrylonitrile monomer in the acryl onitrile copolymer plastic products can be absorbed into the human body thro ugh skin contact,or migration into the food,thereby endangering the huma n body health in the processes of use.Aiming at the main problems existing in the plastic products of acrylonitri le copolymer,the controlling method and migration of acrylonitrile monomer in plastic products were studied in this paper.The main contents are as follows:The injection molding production process parameters of ABS and AS products including raw material,baking temperature and time,barrel temperatur e,injection pressure etc.were systematical adjusted and optimized.Two groups of process parameters for ABS and AS products respectively were optimized successfully by investigating the contribution of each parameter on acrylonitrile monomer residual.For the ABS raw material,the optimum parameters were 80 ? for baking temperature,2 h for baking time,(260,260,250,230)? for four barrel temperature,low pressure for injection pressure.For the AS raw material,the optimum parameters were 80 ? for baking temperature,2 h for baking time,(230,230,220,200)? for four barrel temperature,high pressure for injection pressure.Compared with the raw resin,the residual acrylonitrile monomer in ABS and AS products were decreased by 5.31%-15.1% by adoptin g the optimum parameters.The optimized production process parameters have been proven to be universally applicable,scientific and reasonable by its applic ations in a number of enterprises.The research provides technical supports for the production of qualified acrylonitrile copolymer products in relevant enterpris es.Four types of food simulants 3%(w/v)acetic acid,10%(v/v)ethanol,oliv e oil,and distilled water were selected for acidic foods,alcoholic foods,foods that have a lipophilic character and foods that have a hydrophilic character re spectively according to COMMISSION REGULATION(EU)No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food,FDA 21 CFR 180.22 acrylonitrile copolymers and 21 CFR 181.32 acr ylonitrile copolymers & resin.The migration regulations of acrylonitrile were s ystematically investigated under different soaking temperature and time in four types of food simulants.The migration models of acrylonitrile in four types of food simulants were established by 3D surface fitting using 3D Tablecurve so ftware,and the models have been proven to be universally applicable,accurate and reliable.By using the models,the usage conditions of plastic products w hose migration of acrylonitrile exceeds the restrictions can be readily calculated out,and these plastic products can also be put on the market by adding restri ctive label to reduce the loss.
