Aimed at the problems that the lower part of composite layer is thicker than the upper part of it and the composite layer is too thick when copper cladding aluminum composite ingot is fabricated under vertical casting,the method of cooling aluminum in the copper piper for fabricating copper cladding aluminum ingot is put forward by the project team and the national patient invention was obtained.In order to prepare the copper cladding aluminum composite ingot with even and thin composite layer,the device used to fabricate copper cladding aluminum composite ingot by vertical cooling aluminum in the copper pipe is developed at first in this paper.And then the copper cladding aluminum ingot with uniform composite layer is prepared successfully by using this device.The research on shape and thickness of composite layer is carried out.The device developed has a simple structure and reliable operation and can be operated conveniently.It can fabricate copper cladding aluminum composite ingot with the length of 500mm and freely adjustable diameter.It is found by studying the composite layer that:(1)The zigzag composite layer of ingot is uniform up and down generally within the scope of selected technological parameters.(2)The technological parameters have no effect on the uniformity of the thickness of the composite layer.(3)The thickness of the composite layer is sensitive to the technological parameters.(4)When the thickness of the composite layer is thicker,shrinkage cavity appears easily in the composite layer.(5)Within the scope of selected technological parameters,the best technological parameter:temperature of liquid aluminum is 700?,contact time is 40s,wall thickness of copper pipe is 3mm,diversion hole is 8mm and spray flow is 50L/min.
