Persistent Organic Pollutants(POPs)are a class of refractory in the environment,difficult to metabolize in the body,has a strong lipophilic,can be enriched in the food chain,through the evaporation-condensation and other long-distance process Transmission of pollutants,the high toxicity of such pollutants,even at the micro level can also have a significant adverse impact on the ecological environment and human health.Due to the sample purification tedious and time consuming,and interference between the pollutants in the analysis of trace persistent organic pollutants(POPs)in environmental samples,a novel method was developed to detect simultaneously the polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs),polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs),polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PBDD/Fs),polychlorinated naphthalenes(PCNs),organochlorine pesticides(OCPs),short-chain chlorinated paraffins(SCCPs),dechlorane plus(DP)in sediments and fish tissues.The sample was extracted by ASE system,and the extract was purified and fractionated with multi-layer silica gel column to two grades,followed by further fractionated by a basic alumina column and florisil column respectively,finally,analyzed with different chromatographic column and different detector according to the properties of a chemical compound.The method detection limits for eight classes of POPs ranged from 0.1 to 30pg/g in fish tissues,and from 0.1 to 33pg/g in sediment,except SCCPs;the recoveries of eight classes of POPs spiked in fish tissues and in sediments ranged from 43% to 120%,and from 45% to 115%,respectively,the relative standard deviation(RSD)less than 33%.The accuracy of methods was satisfactorily demonstrated by analysis of standard reference materials NIST SRM 1649 b and WMF-01.Baiyang Lake is located in Hebei Province,China.It is the largest natural lake in northern China and thus referred to as the "Kidney of North China".In terms of environment,the lake is home to about 50 varieties of fish and multiple varieties of wild geese,ducks and other birds.The lake and side parks also are home to a vast number of lotus,ti plants,and other precious plants.From harvesting the fauna and flora of the lake,the locals make a living.While appearing pristine in parts,Baiyang Lake is under assault from a variety of sources,most notably industrial waste emptied upstream,the holding back of replenishing waters into reservoirs by upstream communities,and local fish farming.The cleanup of Baiyangdian Lake has become a test for the Chinese government's vocal commitment to environmental causes,but Chinese environmentalists have painted this agenda as little more than empty promises,often pointing to the lake as evidence.Baiyang Lake is a national and international tourist attraction flaunting its peaceful water scenes and vast lotus gardens.The pollution status,distribution and possible causes of POPs and sediments collected from fifteen intertidal zones(Yuanyangdao?Luowangdian?Dongtianzhaung?Caiputai and so on)of Baiyangdian Lake were analysed.And the environmental behavior of these compounds in Baiyangdian Lake were studied preliminarily.Governance of the current sediment and water pollution in Lake Baiyangdian involves two sides,the most important thing is to manage internal contamination.The concentrations of PCB in sediment and water samples ranged from 0.55 to241.3ng/g and 0 to 27.4ng/L dry weight(dw),PCDD concentrations ranged from 3.6 to 4093.7pg/g dw,PCN concentrations ranged from 30 to 1562pg/g and 0 to 650.3ng/L dw,PBDEs concentrations ranged from 80 to 8599950pg/g and 0.39 to 6.07ng/L dw.Water and sediments in the four chlorinated,pentachloro,hexachlor PCBs mainly accounted for 90% of the total PCBs.The total concentration of PCB138,38,151,132,160,179,187,174,180,209,the total concentration of 0.09 ng / L,accounting for 6.52% of the total PCBs.Compared with domestic and foreign lakes,the pollution level is low.The sediment is mainly PCB101,118,153,138,180,52 as the main similar species,the percentage is 90%,the concentration of 8.67 ng / g dry weight,compared with domestic and foreign lakes,pollution levels are low.The concentration of PCDD / Fs in sediments is 3.6pg / g-4093.7pg / g,and PCDD / Fs pollution is at a moderate level compared with domestic and foreign lakes.The PCNs in water are mainly monochloro-chlorinated and tetrachloro-contaminated,and trichloro-octachlorium is the main sediments.Compared with the pollution level of PCNs in lakes at home and abroad,the pollution level is low.10?PBDEs of the same species were detected in water,BDE-28,37,75,49,47,66,116,153,166,138.The PBDEs in the sediments were in the range of 1.3ng/g-18700ng/g,236.7ng/g-1373.4ng/g,0.39ng/g-34.44ng/g,and the PBDEs in the sediments were in the order of BDE-30,47,49and209.Xiamen coast and Yun Dang,red maple lake,lake Hadley(USA),baihua lae sediment content of PBDEs in range of 0.42ng/g-10.57ng/g,ND-9.04ng/g and 9.04ng/g-37.6ng/g and 0.42ng/g-3.14ng/g,the water pollution of PBDEs lighter,severe pollution in the sediments.
