Environmental Restrictions Policy,Political Connections And Green Technological Innovation

In recent years,the haze phenomenon is more and more prominent in China,at the same time,the thermal power industry has become the main "contributors" of air pollution by our "rich oil and less oil" energy structure.So it is urgent to solve air pollution of the thermal industry.Therefore,the relevant state departments have promulgated environmental regulation policy specifically for this issue,while encouraging the industry to carry out green technology innovation and achieve sustainable development.However,according to the current research situation,environmental regulation has different effects on green technology innovation:positive promotion,negative inhibition and uncertainty.Thus,it is necessary to explore whether or not the environmental regulation policy can promote its green technology innovation.However,green technology innovation has the characteristics of high risk and uncertainty,if you want to ensure the smooth progress of green technology innovation,it must be sufficient resources as a prerequisite.And political associations can bring some scarcity resources to improve the competitiveness of enterprises.What's more important is that these resources may have an impact on the green technology innovation.It can be seen that it is necessary to explore the role of political connection in the process of green technology innovation.And there is a need to establish the relationship between its external environmental restrictions policy and its internal green technology innovation behavior through political connection,furthermore,to study the political connection's role in external environmental restrictions policy and internal green innovation behavior.Choosing listed companies of the thermal power industry in A-share market of China from 2008 to 2015,this paper analyzes the relationship between its external environmental restrictions policy,political connection and internal green technology innovation behavior.According to the way of "background and meaning of the research---concept definition and basic theory---literature review---overview of thermal power industry---research design and analysis---conclusion and countermeasure",the paper start to explore.At last,the results show that:(1)Confirmed the "Porter hypothesis",the paper find external environmental restrictions policy can promote its internal green innovation behavior.(2)The political association plays a positive role in promoting green technology innovation,and local political association have greater positive effect on green technology innovation than the central political association;(3)The overall political association plays a positive moderating role in the impact of environmental regulation on green technology innovation,and the positive moderating role of local political connection between the external environmental restrictions policy and internal green innovation behavior is greater than the political association of the central level.Finally,according to the results,the paper puts forward relevant policy recommendations to improve the competitiveness of enterprises and promote their survival and development from the angles of government and enterprises.
