China's coal resources are relatively abundant.The proportion of coal consumption in primary energy consumption structure is still more than 60%,and the energy structure dominated by coal is difficult to change in a considerable period of time.Coal gasification technology is an efficient and clean method for coal consumption,so the research and development of coal gasification equipment will become the focus of China's large-scale equipment development work.As the key equipment of coal gasification,gasifier has become the focus of the foreign introduction and domestic independent research.The introduced documents for Shell gasifier do not involve enough stress analysis for the gasifier,which is important for domestic independent research and development,and need to be studied imminently.In this paper,the application of ASME method for the design of pressure vessels is studied,and the strength criterion(which prevents collapse and local failure)?stability criteria(which prevents instability)?fatigue and ratcheting criteria are also discussed.Finally,based on ASME B&PV ?-2 standard,the analysis,design and evaluation method is presented for large-scale equipment such as pressure vessels,boilers,and auxiliary equipment.Taking the analysis and design of the shell of Shell gasifier as an example,this paper has adopted the finite element analysis method to carry out the study.On the basis of the gasifier shell structure and its load distribution,the simplified static and dynamic load processing calculation method is stated according to the analysis and design criterion.Due to the special structural arrangement of Shell gasifier,including its complex internals and large-scale overall structure,this paper has employed the combined technique of one-dimensional beam element holistic analysis method and 3D solid element local analysis method,to solve stress analysis of Shell gasifier.The shell structure of the gasifier and the way of load applying are reasonably simplified,and the analysis results of the gasifier shell are evaluated by analysis and design method.The research of this paper can provide important reference for the design of gasifier shell.
