Deep hole processing technology was born in the process of the production of guns, has been closed in the field of military, with the development of the world economy, began to develop in the civilian field, and widely used in various fields.Because of its high strength, good heat resistance and good corrosion resistance, titanium alloys have been regarded as one of the most important strategic metals in many countries in the world. However, titanium alloy is a typical difficult to machine material. In the process of deep hole drilling of titanium alloy,it is easy to produce friction, high cutting temperature, serious tool wear and difficult chip removal. In this paper, based on the principle of metal cutting, with the help of Deform-3D finite element simulation software, the mechanism of TC4 titanium alloy was simulated.Firstly, the basic structure and working principle of the gun drilling system are analyzed, and the mechanical model of the gun drill, the material model of the titanium alloy and the finite element cutting model are established. Then, the design of gun drill drilling simulation experiment of TC4 titanium alloy, the simulation experiment design was simulated by using the finite element software Deform-3D,obtained the curves of different drilling parameters under the cutting force, torque, and cutting temperature and tool wear distribution. Finally,by comparing the simulation results, the relationship between the two cutting parameters of feed rate and cutting speed and axial force, torque, tool wear is obtained. The results of this study have important theoretical significance and reference value for the experimental study of deep hole drilling of titanium alloy.
