An 800,000 t/ a fluid catalytic cracking unit of a Petrochemical Company in Dalian was investigated. In view of the high energy consumption of the device, there are bottlenecks and security risks and other issues, through the method of system engineering theory, diagnostic analysis on the process of the device, comprehensive optimization. With the device operating conditions, Aspen Plus simulation software as a tool of the original process or equipment for process simulation, put forward feasible and effective implementation of technical renovation and energy saving device.In view of the operating conditions of waste heat boiler flue gas temperature is too high, the temperature is too high, oil slurry wall and so on. Put forward to improve the heat transfer efficiency of waste heat boiler, change the structure of the flow, the additional circuit and other programs, can effectively solve the above problems. Increasing the heat transfer efficiency of the waste heat boiler, using the increase of the forced circulation evaporator to improve the operating flexibility of the equipment, the heat transfer coefficient of the heat transfer coefficient can be increased effectively by using the finned tube. To save power and compression of rich gas after cold temperature decreases as the goal, to change the original flow topology, the cooler by the parallel to the series, at the same time can eliminate the bias. The problem of wall hanging wall is generally existed. Considering the influence of temperature and linear velocity, the scheme of adding loop is put forward. The cooling medium is changed from sea water to heat exchange, which effectively improves the problem of low temperature in winter heat transfer tube.Based on system engineering methodology, system engineering advanced energy-saving technology as a means to use general chemical process simulation tools, diagnostic analysis on the catalytic cracking of each subsystem of comprehensive optimization, equipment accounting, pipeline calculation etc. According to the actual situation, put forward the feasible technological improvement, has high practical value.
