At present, the rolling cut type shearing machine is one of advanced plate cutting machines in the world. Compared with traditional oblique cutting machines and disc type shear machines, rolling cut shearing machines have the characteristics of smooth cutting edge, no obvious steps, small deformation, high shear accuracy and efficiency. Currently, most rolling cut type shearing machines in our country are imported. Although a lot of analysis, improvement and localization have been made, compared with those in developed countries, a certain level of differences still exist. Therefore, an in-depth study of the motion mechanism of the rolling shear machine, and theoretical analysis and research, is of great significance for the independent research and development of rolling shearing machines.The work of this thesis is based on 3500 rolling cut dividing shear. In the thesis, the classification, characteristics and working principle of the rolling shearing machine are firstly introduced. The formula of cutting edge radius and shearing force on the key parameters are deduced. A three dimensional model was built by Solidworks. The blade gap adjusting device of the rolling shear, as well as the influence of the gap between the cutting edge on the shearing quality and shearing force, are analyzed. The condition for the appearance of peak shear stress is analyzed, and the method to reduce or eliminate the peak value of shearing force is proposed. The motion and dynamic simulation model of the rolling shear mechanism is established by ADAMS. The influences on blade overlap of the length of the crank, the initial phase angle of the crank, the length of the control rod and the position of the control rod and the position of the hinge point of the frame are studied; The rolling shear model was built. An effective and reasonable calculation method for the design and development of the shear mechanism was provided.The method proposed in this thesis has been successfully applied to the design of 3500 mm rolling shear for Shagang iron and Steel Group co. Ltd. At present, the operation of the equipment and the shear effect is well, which proves that the proposed method is correct and effective.
