The production of contour steel-rolling is a high-speed continuous automaticproduction process. The flying shear is the key link of rolling line system. The flyingshear control system is most complicated, and flying shear accuracy neccessary ishighest in steel rolling electrical automation system. Then, the further research on thecontrol of the flying shear which has high precision and high speed is great significant.This paper mainly introduces the configuration of the control system on the flyingshear. It analyzes the positioning of fly blade cutting and the principle and controlmethod of the device of DC-speed control. Some existing problems are found out. Thepower unit is improved on the front of the foundation. The new control scheme of thehardware topological structure which is based on two-way power converter H bridge isgiven. In the control algorithm, a parabolic control algorithm takes place of linearcontrol algorithm. Shear blade position and accuracy are improved.In order to guarantee the fixed speed propotion in preceding and back rollingmachine and achieve equal second flow, the fuzzy-PID mix control is put forward,which is applied to speed loop of the main drive motor rolling system. The simulation inMatlab/Simulink environment was made. The simulation results have indicated thestability and control precision of rolling system are improved by the new algorithm.Siemens S7-400PLC is adopted in control of system. Finally, the design of the controlsoftware is made in the Step7environment.
