The cotton fabric derives from a wealth of sources,it has superior properties,such as hygroscopicity,heat insulating ability,wearing comfortable,while the shortcomings are that it is easy to ignite,and the property of antimicrobial is poor.Nanometer zinc oxide is widely used due to its excellent antibacterial and UV blocking properties,and it is non-toxic and harmless to human and environment.There are many literatures researching on cotton fabric modified using nanometer zinc oxide,but the content of nano zinc oxide in cotton fabric is very low,and with poor water durability.The cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content can impart cotton fabric with flame retardant.The finishing of cotton fabric will not release toxic or corrosive gas,such as formaldehyde,which belongs to the ecological textiles.At the same time,the antibacterial and UV blocking properties of high nano-ZnO content fabric will be further improved,which has impact on broadening the application areas of cotton fabric.In this paper,bleached cotton was chosen as the raw material.Firstiy,cotton fabric was pretreated as the following: one is oxidating cotton fabric with hydrogen peroxide solution weakly;the other is using a mixture solution of sodium hydroxide and urea to swell the cotton fabric.Then the high-ZnO loaded processing was mainly divided into three methods.The first method: Cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content prepared by sol-gel method.Firstiy,preparing colloidal solution of different concentrations of zinc oxide,and then cotton fabric was finished through the method of pad-dry-cure three times.The effect of zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid,dipping time and curing temperature on the zinc oxide content of fabric was analyzed.Properties of breaking strength,air permeability,water durabillity and flame retardant of cotton fabric with different ZnO content was investigated.The optimum performance of cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content was obtained on the zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid is 15%,dipping time is 10 min,and curing temperature is at150 ?.Experimental results showed that under this circumstance,ZnO/cotton composite can obtained the breaking strength is 502.8 N,permeability is 10.32 mm/s,and the content of zinc oxide is 11.19%,which provide the experimental and theoretical basis for the developing on the high-performance fabric with high ZnO content.The second method: Cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content prepared by insitu swelling method.Firstiy,preparing colloidal solution of different concentrations of zinc oxide,then adding a certain amount of solution of sodium hydroxide and urea in aqueous.The weak-oxidition cotton fabric was impregnated in the solution for a period of time and then ZnO/cotton composite was finished after washing and drying.The effect of zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid,swelling time and curing temperature on the zinc oxide content of fabric was analyzed.Properties of breaking strength,air permeability,water durabillity and flame retardant of cotton fabric with different ZnO content was investigated.The optimum performance of cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content was obtained on the zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid is 15%,swelling time is 12 h,and curing temperature is at 150 ?.Experimental results showed that under this circumstance,ZnO/cotton composite can obtained the breaking strength is 500.3 N,permeability is 13.48 mm/s,and the content of zinc oxide is 5.32%,which provide the experimental and theoretical basis for the developing on the high-performance fabric with high ZnO content.The third method: Cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content prepared by in situ method with ammonia.Firstiy,preparing colloidal solution of different concentrations of zinc oxide,and then the pre-treated cotton fabric was finished through the method of ammonia-smoking.The effect of zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid,ammonia-smoking time and curing temperature on the zinc oxide content of fabric was analyzed.Properties of breaking strength,air permeability,water durabillity and flame retardant of cotton fabric with different ZnO content was investigated.The optimum performance of cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content was obtained on the zinc ion concentration of treatment fluid is 15%,ammonia-smoking time is 10 min,and curing temperature is at 150 ?.Experimental results showed that under this circumstance,ZnO/cotton composite can obtained the breaking strength is490.8 N,permeability is 8.98 mm/s,and the content of zinc oxide is 15.63%,which provide the experimental and theoretical basis for the developing on the high-performance fabric with high ZnO content.Cotton fabric assembled with high nano-ZnO content showed better antibacterial and UV blocking properties compared to low nano-ZnO content even after laundrying.By comparing the above three kinds of finishing process of cotton fabric with nano-ZnO,their physical and mechanical properties were just a small difference.Sol-gel prepared cotton fabric assembled with higher nano-ZnO content,but ZnO content was the lowest after 30 laundary cycles due to its poor water resistance;Swelling in situ of the ZnO/cotton fabrics had the lowest ZnO content,but it had the highest percentage of zinc oxide after 30 laundry cycles;Ammonia-smoking in situ method of zinc oxide had the highest nano-ZnO content on cotton fabrics,at the same time it also had a good flame retardant property and after 30 laundry cycles,the content of zinc oxide was still high,so fertilizer P doped to further improvethe flame retardant property.
