Automotive tire’s multiplex extruding line is the key equipment for tire production.Tread,sidewall,apex and other components are produced in this line.The quality of products is influenced by the fixed length precision of cutting system and the tension stability of reeling system.If the size of extruded components goes beyond the allowable range,the tire radial,circumferential geometry and mass distribution would be uneven as a result.Vibration of the vehicle may be caused by non-uniformity of tires,directly affecting the performance of vehicle.Strict control must be taken over each process of composite extrusion production lines so that various factors resulting in the non-uniformity of tires could be lowered to the minimum level.In this paper,the control system of cutting and winding would be covered by in-depth research on the characteristics and requirements of multiplex extruding line.And the electrical control systems have been designed accordingly.Multiplex extruding line is about 50 meters long.It is divided into two layers and includes multi-site electrical components.The control system is quite complex.Matching the speed across the board,increasing the fixed-length precision and tension stability of reeling system are the three most critical problems of control system.This paper mainly covers the introduction of multiplex extruding line production processes as well as the electrical control system utilizing Siemens Totally Integrated Automation(TIA)program.It also highlights the design of cutting and winding control system.PLC,Rexroth servo drive encoder wheel plus system are adopted by cutting system to achieve precision control of fixed length.For winding control,control dancing roller has been selected to obtain tension control over coiling station of multiplex extruding line.Analysis has been performed to compare a number of coiling tension control systems in the electrical control design applications.The paper focuses on changes in real time coiling station volume diameter;and PID algorithm is used to realize winding line speed stability.The commissioning result shows that the cutting length precision could reach ± 3mm while the CMK value is 1.61 under the speed of 23m/min;the sidewall width shrinkage is less than ± 3mm while coiling station CMK value is 1.98.The design requirements are satisfied.
