Ramie fiber is a typical kind of Chinese natural fibers.However,due to its small elongation,high bending stiffness and other characteristics,there will be difficulties in bending with ramie yarn during the knitting action and the production will have several quality problems like knitting holes.These problems greatly restricted the efficiency of ramie yarn's knitting process and the quality of product.So the study on how to achieve ramie yarn's high-efficient knitting process?improve product quality and develop functional knitted fabric is of great significance.In this paper,the mechanical properties of ramie yarn under different damp-heat interaction were discussed.The result shows that ramie yarn's breaking strength and breaking elongation was negatively related to temperature but positively correlated with humidity.And compared with temperature,the change of humidity influence ramie yarn's fracture property especially breaking elongation more,with the gradual increase in humidity,the breaking elongation of ramie yarn will generally increase to 2-3 times at last.The best condition when yarn's tensile fracture properties have achieved the appetite effect was temperature:20?-25?,humidity: 80%-90%.Then the effects of different modification conditions on ramie yarn's flexural rigidity,friction coefficient and hairiness were studied.Pure ramie yarn shows higher stiffness,its bending stiffiness is about 3-4 times as much as ramie-cotton blended yarn.Modified treatment can effectively improve the softness of ramie yarn,and to a certain extent,improve the hairiness of the yarn.And it helps to solve the problems in ramie yarn knitting process,improve production efficiency of ramie yarn.Polyester and cotton of certain fineness were chosen to interweaved with ramie yarn,developed several kinds of ramie knitting fabrics.Then the influence of on-line modification to production efficiency of ramie knitting process was studied.A series of fabric performance were tested,the difference of ramie knitted fabric performance between different varieties was discussed.And through the data fitting,we can get the formula of coil pitch/coursespacing—course/wale.The results of the various performance tests show that the combinations of different yarns and different organizational structures can develop different kinds of ramie fabrics.Ramie/cotton fabrics show good moisture transmission and moisture absorption while ramie—polyester fabric.have higher breathability and softness,they can develop into different kinds of knitted sportswear fabric.Except number 7,The rest kinds of fabric's wrinkle resistance is evener,meet the standards.The production efficiency of modified ramie yarn on machine improved,output is almost increased by about 1 times.So modification really benefits in ramie yarn's High-efficient Knitting Process.Through correlation analysis ? curve fitting,the formulas of coil pitch/course spacing—course/wale were concluded:After the error analysis,the calculation results of the above formula are more accurate than the traditional coil calculation method and more suitable for the calculation of the parameters of high rigidity coil.The error of coil pitch is 0.08%,basically the same as the actual measurement results,and error of coil course is about 7.27%,reduced nearly 50% than traditional coil calculation method.The errors of two loop parameters are much smaller than the traditional coil calculation method which are 1.8%,13.78.
