Poly(lactic acid),a kind of green material,which can be derived from wheat,corn and other plants.Because of the excellent mechanical properties,biodegradability and biocompatibility of poly lactic acid fiber,it is widely used in medical field.In the process of preparing the poly lactic acid fiber,the melt spinning method is widely adopted because of its short process flow,high production efficiency and suitable for industrial production.The preparation of drug loaded poly lactic acid fiber is mainly concentrated in the electrospinning,and the preparation of the drug loaded poly lactic acid fibers by melt spinning is rare.This paper focuses on the preparation process and properties of drug loaded polylactic acid melt-spun fiber.The flow of the drug particles with the melt polylactic acid in the spinneret orifice is simulated by using the Euler model in FLUENT software.The concept of dispersion is introduced to indirectly characterize the dispersion of particles in melt-spun fibers.This paper focuses on the following aspects of drug loaded polylactic acid melt spinning fiber research.Firstly,the rheology theory of polymer and the rheological properties of poly lactic acid are studied.The method of improving the dispersion uniformity of particles is studied based on the aggregation mechanism.According to the fiber linear density changes,the degree of dispersion of the drug particles in the fibers is indirectly characterized.Subsequently,spinning component is designed and a qualitative study is made on the selection of the filter mesh in the spinning components of drug loaded poly lactic acid melt-spun fibers.The flow of the drug particles with the melt polylactic acid in the spinneret orifice is simulated by using FLUENT software and the results show that the drug particles are dispersed evenly in the spinneret orifice.Then,this paper introduces the conditions of the drug particles should be available.The antibacterial properties of nano silver zirconium phosphate particles and the hemostatic properties of ZSM-5 particles are introduced.The melt spinning process of drug loaded poly lactic acid fiber was studied.The PLA slice and drug particles are mixed to prepare PLA masterbatch containing high concentration drug by twin screw extruder.Then,the masterbatch and pure PLA slice mixed at a different proportion are blended and melt spun to abtain PLA/nano loaded silver zirconium phosphate melt-spun fibers and PLA/ ZSM-5 melt-spun fibers.Finally,the fibers linear density and mechanical properties are measured to determine the effect of the addition of the drug particles on the linear density and mechanical properties of the fibers.The antibacterial properties of PLA/ nano silver loaded zirconium phosphate fiber were determined by agar diffusion method and oscillation method respectively.The effect of the addition of drug particles on the preparation of fiber morphology is observed by scanning electron microscope.The indirect characterization of the dispersion of particles in melt-spun fibers by measuring the change of linear density of melt-spun fibers.The results shows that the higher the mass fraction of the added drug particles,the worse the degree of dispersion of the particles.This result is in agreement with the electron microscope.
