Vertical mill as an efficient, energy-saving, environmental protection, new grinding equipment is increasingly to large-scale, high-speed, efficient, gentle and automation direction. These developments raise production efficiency, save a lot of energy and have made tremendous social and economic benefits, but also the rapid pace of development led to more and more factors that affect the safety and performance of devices, increased security risks and the loss of mechanical failure chain the impact is huge. Its roots lie in uncontrolled interaction force between the disc and grinding rollers, therefore, accurating measurement the state changes of dynamic forces disc or grinding rollers is of great importance in ensuring the safe operation of the vertical mill.Fiber Bragg grating sensing technology is an advanced technology which is developed in recent years. It can overcome the shortcomings effectively including long-term stability, durability, distribution on current electrical sensing system. What's more, it can meet the technical requirements of monitoring on modern equipment structure, for example, Precision, long-distance, long-term, real-time and online. That's all the unparalleled advantages compared with traditional technology.In this paper, based on fiber optic sensor technology, combination of theoretical and analysis experimental data. Basis in machinery, information, materials and other disciplines cross converged and start from the vertical mill disc / grinding roller assembly, through the research methods on "Theory- Analog- Experiments-Applications", have a deeply study on force monitoring system of vertical mill disc / grinding roller. The main contents are as follows:1.The Situation of development of vertical roller mill,dynamic developments at home and abroad as well as fiber optic sensing technology for analysis, given the lack of monitoring tools currently, the article proposed the research of stress fiber sensing methods and principles about vertical mill rocker arm assembly sleeve.2.Based on the work and sensing principles of fiber Bragg grating, through strain characteristics experiments and temperature characteristics of experiments to study the characteristics of fiber grating strain sensor, verified the feasibility of FBG sensors applied to condition monitoring of the vertical disc / roll force.3.On the basis of vertical mill parts- parts(structure)- model of the system, key components by means of rocker arm and rocker arm components taper sleeve of the finite element analysis combined with test data analysis, established a new type of fiber grating sensing network that was suitable for vertical slow/roller force monitoring.4.Based on modern sensor detection technology, reliability theory and fault diagnosis technology, in accordance with a large number of experimental test data, build dynamic reliability model with key components of the vertical mill equipment system. By combining theoretical analysis,calculation and experimental verification, from a method and apply in engineering on vertical mill disc / grinding roller with force monitoring and early warning finally.
