The Lake Baitan located in Huanggang City Huangzhou district, as the city center of Huanggang district plan, which is the eco-center, tourism base as well as industrial and agricultural development foundation, also the city's major natural resources. But with the rapid development of social economy around the Lake Baitan basin and watershed, as well as aquaculture cast fertilizer of Lake Baitan. Watershed sewage wastewater emissions have increased year by year; thereby the ability of water environmental capacity to purify itself is reduced as the pollution increase.In this paper, temporal and spatial variations of water pollution load of Lake Baitan basin were studied.(1) The use of single factor index method and analysis doing 2012~2013 water quality monitoring, the Lake data of Baitan shows that: Lake Baitan watershed was heavily polluted;(2) The systematic survey of point source, non-point source pollution at Lake Baitan showed that the major pollution factor is the contamination generated by rural life and aquaculture pollution;(3) According to the urban population, rural population and the amount of livestock, with the natural population growth rate prediction method used to obtain the corresponding between 2012 ~ 2014 situation, and to calculate the urban sewage, livestock wastewater emissions and pollutants of rural life. With the increases of population, emissions that increased in certain growth rate, TN and COD are the most important control indicators;(4) Using the input-output model, cassette zero-dimensional model and “shallow lakes and reservoir” Unit model to calculate the environmental capacity of COD, Ammonia Nitrogen and TN and TP, the results in Table shows that each pollutant in the lake has no remaining capacity of the water system, and the concentrations of COD, Ammonia Nitrogen, TP and TN are more than the standard values, in which the emissions of TN and TP exceed its environment capacity. Lake Baitan watershed was organic polluted heavily, nitrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients into the lake inside of excess, which lead to eutrophication problem.Finally, in order to prevent from the pollution in accordance to the Lake Baitan pollution situation, combined the analysis of pollution and environmental capacity give positive feedback on what target measures are to be put in place.
