With the development of mining,cement and other industries,high efficiency,energy saving,superfine crushing equipment is strong demanded.And the vertical stirred mill ownership continues increasing,the development with independent intellectual property rights of large vertical stirred mill become imminent.In this paper,based on the development of a large vertical screw stirred mill,the following research work is carried out.(1)In the stirred mill test bench,the test was carried out in a small stirred mill without pulp,besides,a discrete element model of mill was built and simulated.The experiment and simulation results show that the simulation of mill discrete element model is consistent with the actual operation;the performance difference about different type of stirred mill was analysis,the stirred mill is better than the pin mill in grinding efficiency.(2)Another test test was carried out in the stirred mill again with pulp in it,and a simulation model was built,which was coupling the Computational fluid dynamics and the discrete element method.The test and simulation analysis of the grinding effect,the resistance moment change rule,which has guiding significance for the design of large vertical mill.(3)Adopting the discrete element method,the discrete element model was built for 320 t mill.The performance was analyzed and the resistance moment was obtained during working;established a finite element model of the agitator,applying screw agitator resistance force,analyzed the agitator structure strength,provide the basis for the design and manufacture of the stirred mill;the start time,the grinding medium size and other factors were researched as well.The influence of the structure strength of the agitator was analyzed,which provides the basis for the selection of the mill reducer and the selection of the grinding medium.The research work has been accepted by the enterprise experts,providing a theoretical basis for the development of large vertical mill.According to the plan,the the large vertical mill finished the manufacturing,exporting,installation and using,the actual measurement strength of the agitator was consistent the research in this paper.
