The impact of the electronics industry in twenty-first Century has penetrated into every aspect of people's lives,and the electronic products tend to miniaturization,integration and digitalization under the background of information age.This is also a challenge for packaging substrates that carry components.Glass/ceramic low temperature co-fired ceramic?LTCC?has attracted much attention due to its excellent properties such as low temperature sintering,low dielectric constant and low loss.In this paper,Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2+Al2O3 glass/ceramics as the research object is divided into three parts to test.First,the Al2O3-B2O3-Si O2 glass was the basic researched glass.This paper investigated the influence of the content of alumina in the glass on the properties of the composites.The results showed that the dielectric constant,dielectric loss and bending strength of the composites increased with the increase of Al2O3 content in the glass.Choose a suitable amount,and then add different proportions of LAB?Li-Al-B composite?,CBS?CaO-B2O3-SiO2 glass?,AST?mixture of borosilicate glass?into the glass to do further research.The results indicated that the addition of three kinds of materials could improve the sintering effect,promote the liquid phase sintering,and enhance the densification,dielectric properties and mechanical properties of the glass/ceramics material.And the improvement effect of CBS and AST were stronger than LAB.The best performance was obtained when the contents of LAB,CBS and AST were 3wt%,4wt% and 2wt% respectively.Secondly,Al2O3 as the basic researched ceramic,the effect of the ratio of glass/ceramic on the microstructure,density,dielectric properties and bending strength of the composites was studied.It was found that when ABS glass: Al2O3=50:50 and sintering temperature was 850 ?,the interfacial transition layer between glass and ceramics is the most dense,which could reduce the dielectric loss and improve the bending strength.Then under this glass:ceramic ratio,the effects of quartz sand/ Al2O3 replacement ratio on the crystalline phase,microstructure,dielectric properties and bending strength of the material was investigated.It was found that the chemical compatibility of quartz sand and ABS glass was poor,and the pores were more.With the increase of the replacementratio,the main crystalline phase of the material was changed from Al2O3 to SiO2,the density of the material became worse,the dielectric constant and the flexural strength decreased,and the dielectric loss increased first and then decreased.Finally,the effect of BaO in the ABS glass on the density,dielectric properties and flexural strength was studied.The addition of BaO can reduce the viscosity of the glass and promote the liquid phase sintering in a certain range.The density and bending strength of the material were obviously improved,and when the content of BaO was2wt%,the bending strength reacheed the maximum 166.83 MPa.But,the high ionic polarizability of Ba2+ ions increased the dielectric constant,and the high electric polarization increased the dielectric loss of the material.
