In the 21st century, the rise of digital technology in each industry marks the arrival of global"digital age". Many scholars and scientific research institutions in China start to actively explore digital issue of garment field. Meanwhile, with cross development of computer science,mathematics and information science, the researches on driving garment digitization by multi-disciplines gradually become complex and diversified. At present, the research and application of digital technology in garment field have penetrated in multiple links of garment industry including design, production, management and sale. Hence, digital technology becomes the core technology for innovative development, transformation and upgrading of Chinese garment industry.The formal origin of knowledge map could be traced back to the birth of bibliometrics and scientometrics at the beginning of 19th century. In 2003, the concept of modern scientific knowledge map was formally proposed the first time on Arthur M.Sackler Seminar. Shiffrin,Bomer, Chen Chaomei and other scientists laid the research foundation of modern scientific knowledge map. Later, knowledge map formed a research fever in scientology, management science, library and information science and other disciplines and was gradually applied in the fields of medical science, industry and agriculture etc. Scientific knowledge map provides new methods and thoughts for people to know discipline structure, hotspot, trend and evolution in an quantitative, real and objective manner.This research takes the literatures of digital garment technology collected in CNKI from 2000 to 2015 as the data source, adopts Citesapce information visualization software as the research tool and employs a series of basic research methods of scientific knowledge map to deeply describe system structure of digital garment technology researches from the aspects of spatial and temporal distribution of digital garment researches, knowledge subject distribution,research front and research hotspot, in the hope of having a global understanding of digital garment technology researches. This research actively explores garment literature knowledge research mode.This research mainly analyzes and discusses relevant problems of knowledge map of digital garment technology research literature according to the following steps.Firstly, the research gained subject terms which can effectively generalize digital garment technology through setting search strategy and CNKI so as to reach the purpose of data collection integrity and accuracy. Finally, 1393 effective literatures in recent 15 years were obtained. Year distribution and periodical distribution were analyzed for these literatures. The results show that the number of digital literatures presents a gradual rising trend; the achievements concentrate on textile discipline periodicals and involve 8 kinds of computer specialty periodicals, which reflects crossed penetration between garment discipline and computer discipline.Secondly, author co-citation and institution co-citation were analyzed by taking Author and Institution as the network nodes to get knowledge subject of Chinese digital garment technology research - visual map of core author group and core institution group. The result indicates that the ranking of major contribution organizations is as follows: Donghua University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Tianjin Polytechnic University and so on. These comprehensive textile and garment universities are the center of digital garment technology research and knowledge, while productive authors have certain positive correlation with the ranking of organizations.Finally, keyword co-citation analysis was conducted by taking keywords as the network node, and research hotspot distribution in different stages of recent 15 years was obtained. Some hotspots appear time and again in the 15 years, while no new hotspot appears in some particular years. Through choosing the burst term value of keywords, research fronts which sprang up in the 15 years were gained in this field: management information system, garment CAD, style design, XML, virtual fitting, smart garment and Internet of Things.The above research aims to help researchers clarify research outline of Chinese garment digitization field, reveal research fonts and hot issues in this field in different periods and provides a new perspective to handle the problem of literature mining and interpretation under the background of big data. In addition, the tool is expected to play a more profound role in several fields of garment discipline.
