Land is an essential material basis for the maintenance of various terrestrial ecosystems and the protection of human survival and development. The structure and pattern of lands inevitably influenced by human activities, resulting in land use/cover change, and ultimately leading to the function of ecosystem service value change. In this paper, the Yellow River Delta is took as the research area, based on three remote sensing images of Dongying city in the year of 1996,2005 and 2016,combined with field work, and the classified information in different land use types of the study area was obtained by remote sensing and GIS interpretation. On the basis of this, the change of land use types, the speed of change, the degree of land use change, and the driving factors of land use was conducted by quantitative analysis methods. Then the service value coefficient of each ecosystem in the study area was estimated, and the change of ecosystem service value in the study area from 1996 to 2016 was analyzed, referring to the relevant research results before. Finally, the relationship between land use/cover change and ecological service function value were discussed, the results are as follows:(1)The area of arable land, woodland, grassland and unused land showed a decreasing trend, while the area of wetlands, water and construction land increased, during the period of 1996-2016.Among them, the reduction of grassland is the fastest, and the dynamic degree is-1.84%,while the speed of wetland increase is fastest, the dynamic degree is 16.17%.During the study period, the index of land use degree in the Yellow River delta was about 260,which indicated that the land use intensity was moderate in the study area.Based on the transfer matrix of land use types, the arable land was mainly transformed into construction land, which showed the trend of urban expansion. In the meantime, more unused land began to transform into woodland and wetland, which reflected the effect of measures to improve the natural ecological environment taking by local government. Finally, the driving forces of land use change in the study area were analyzed, and found that the main factors are the population growth, economic growth and urbanization.(2)The total value of ecosystem services in the Yellow River delta showed an increasing trend from1996 to2016.The change of ecological service value of land use types showed that the service value of wetland and water increased, while other land use types of ecological service value decreased.Among them, the increasing of ecological service function value of water area was the largest and contributed the most. The greatest reduction was ecological value of construction land. From the point of view of the value of each single ecosystem service function, the largest ESV was waste treatment, and then followed by water conservation. The sensitivity of ecosystem service value analysis showed that the total value of ecosystem services was lack of flexibility to the value of coefficient, which indicated that the selected value coefficient was in accordance with the requirements of research, and the accuracy of the results was improved.(3)The relationship between the types of land use and the total value of ecological service function was analyzed by using grey correlation degree and bivariate coefficient, the results indicated that the ecological service value of water and arable land had a significant impact on the total value, and the correlation between the wetland area and the total value of ecosystem services was the highest. Finally, combined with the actual situation, some countermeasures and suggestions on sustainable development of land use in the study area were put forward.
