In the context of ecological environment deteriorating and the shortage of renewable energy, climate warming has become one of the top ten most prominent environmental issues on a global scale.According to the IPCC study, the continuing increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions has been the main cause of climate warming. As a pillar industry of the national economy, the development level of transportation has been improving along with the rapid development of the national economy, but China has also paid great price of serious damage in the ecological environment and increasing of carbon emissions, which has made the transportation industry become the second largest energy consumer and carbon emission sector.Because of China's regional economic differences, transportation energy consumption and carbon emissions have also exhibited the characteristics of regional imbalance. Therefore, the relationship between carbon emission and its influencing factors in the transportation industry is analyzed from the regional perspective, and it is of great significance for the realization of national energy saving and emission reduction targets. This paper chooses the provincial data of China Statistical Yearbook and China Energy Statistical Yearbook from 2000 to 2014,taking into account the economic level, the level of transportation development and the level of carbon emission. The influencing factors of population size, industrial structure, sector energy consumption structure were analyzed by introducing the improved STIRPAT model, and the curve analysis was carried out according to the environmental Kuznets curve by importing the urbanization rate,GDP and transportation sector energy efficiency.Through the convergence analysis of the carbon emissions of the national transportation system,it is found that there is some phased convergence in the whole country, but there is no convergence in the whole, and the necessity of the regional factors is verified by the existence of regional heterogeneity.Based on the scale space theory, this paper applies the multi-scale spatial clustering algorithm, which is applied in the field of economy and finance,to the regional transportation of the thirty provinces and regions in China. The results are in good agreement with the actual situation.Based on the clustering results, the elasticity analysis of influencing factors of carbon emission is carried out through the panel data regression model,so as to identify the variation regular pattern and characteristics of carbon emission in different regions.Based on the empirical research on carbon emissions from transportation area, this paper analyzes the proportion of industrial structure, the transportation sector energy consumption structure, urbanization, the level of economic development, passenger and freight turnover, and transportation sector energy efficiency, the proposed "common but different" energy saving and emission reduction policies.
