Correctly assessing the health of urban ecological systems and mastering the health status of urban ecosystems is very significant to the effective management of urban ecosystems.Dalian is one of the five specifically-designed cities in China.Dalian is an important economic,trade and port city along the eastern coast of China.With the development of the city,the construction of the ecosystem in Dalian has achieved remarkable achievements,but the sustainable development of the city still faces many challenges.The quantitative evaluation of ecosystem health in Dalian is carried out to determine the influencing factors.It has the great theoretical and practical significance to promote the healthy development of Dalian and the construction of ecological civilization.In this paper,the specific results are as follows:Firstly,combined with the health connotation of urban ecosystem,from the environmental subsystem,economic subsystem and social subsystem,27 evaluation indexes were selected based on principal component analysis to establish the index system of ecosystem health assessment in Dalian.Adopting entropy weight to determine the weight of evaluation index,and applying variable fuzzy pattern recognition model make a overall assessment of urban ecosystem in Dalian from 2003 to 2014.The results showed that Dalian urban ecosystem are in the transition stage of sub-health(3.0992)to health(2.3762)state,the overall health situation tend to improve,but in 2012 as the inflection point,due to the population pressure,the urban health status has declined.Secondly,taking the Dalian ecosystem health index as the dependent variable and using the 27 evaluation indexes as the independent variables,the main factors influencing the health change of Dalian ecosystem were obtained by using the partial least squares regression model.(VIP value>1).Among them,the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste,urban domestic sewage treatment rate and public green area per capita in environmental subsystems promote the healthy development of ecosystems in Dalian,while economic subsystems and social subsystem of the million GDP water consumption,engel coefficient,urban registered unemployment rate and other factors,it is not conducive to the healthy development of urban ecosystems in Dalian.Thirdly,taking 2014 as the base year,the ecosystem health status of Dalian is compared with the ecosystem health status of four typical coastal cities(Qingdao,Ningbo,Xiamen,Shenzhen).The results showed that the urban ecosystem health index of Dalian,Qingdao,Ningbo,Xiamen and Shenzhen are 2.3762,2.5449,2.3868,2.4412,2.4795,and that Dalian is in a healthy state,and Qingdao is in sub-health state,the health status of five urban ecosystems is Dalian,Ningbo,Xiamen,Shenzhen and Qingdao.Lastly,the future construction of Dalian ecosystem health should strengthen the following aspects:(1)The government should optimize the natural environment,improve the utilization rate of water resources and solid waste treatment rate,prevent and control the atmospheric pollution,reduce the road traffic noise pollution,and strengthen the construction of urban green space system.(2)We should adjust the economic development model,improve energy efficiency,optimize the industrial structure,and increase the investment of environmental protection.(3)The government should improve the social service function,control the rapid growth of population,improve the cultural quality level of residents,strengthen the construction of public infrastructure,and improve the social security system,so that the urban ecosystem can toward a more healthy and orderly development.
