Welding process is very complicated and the actual welding experience occupies an important position,so the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology to develop welding process expert system provides support for welding process.The study of expert system to solve the welding problem is of important application value.Based on the available researches on the welding expert system,this thesis discusses the welding expert system for low-alloy steel.The expert system developed in a Windows environment uses Microsoft Access as a database management system and visual programming tool-Visual Basic 6.0 as a development tool.The system provides users with welding procedure specification(WPS),Welding Procedure Qualification Report(PQR)and welding process design document(WPD).The thesis is divided into five parts,including the introduction of low-alloy steel,design tools and programming languages developed on the expert system,the design process of the systems,the actual running tests and conclusions,and the prospect of welding expert system.The weldability and welding process of low-alloy steel are the logic analysis output of expert system.Combined with the design idea of the computer-aided welding process planning system,the overall structure of the system and each functional module are determined,the main program diagram of the system is built.On the basis of welding engineering technology,the welding database is establish,which contains the information of base metal,welding information,welding groove graphics,welding methods and welding equipment.The whole system is convenient to inquire,user-friendly,easy for updating and maintenance,and it also support for the printing of welding procedures and process cards in standard format.The system has achieved the expected purpose.
