Research On Urban Eco-competitiveness Of Provincial Capitals In Central China

Economic globalization has accelerated the rapid circulation of production factors in the world,and as the main carrier of economic development,the city is facing increasingly fierce competition from home and abroad.Thus,the development of urban economy is becoming more and more important in the national economy and urban competitiveness becomes the determining factor of comprehensive national power.At the same time,the traditional extensive economic development mode has brought destruction to the ecological system,which has aroused widespread concern of scholars,and public environmental protection awareness has also been rising.So human beings begin to rethink the relationship between ecological and economic development,urban competitiveness cannot be purely measured by simple economic numbers,and the quality ecological environment has gradually become a new focus to enhance the urban competitiveness.In the face of the grim situation of declining quality of ecological environment,the CPC Central Committee put forward the construction of Beautiful China in the 18th National Congress,emphasizing the importance of building ecological civilization in the context of the new economic situation,and a sound system and policy implementation mechanisms are designed for the development of circular economy and green economy.The provinces in central China have also responded positively and made corresponding important initiatives to implement the spirit of the 18th Party Congress.In the context of the Rise of Central China and advocacy of the construction of ecological civilization,it will be a great reference for other cities in the province,even for other cities in the country how six provincial capital city,as the core cities in the region,break through the difficulties to achieve urban eco-competitiveness while taking both urban economic development and ecological environment protection into account.Based on the theory of urban competitiveness and eco-city construction,this paper defines the connotation and characteristics of urban eco-competitiveness.According to the principle of scientificity,representation,hierarchy and operability,this paper constructs an evaluation index system which is in line with the actual situation,and uses the intuitionistic fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to study the eco-competitiveness of capital cities in the central China,and analyzes and evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of the six cities' eco-competitiveness,and puts forward the measures and schemes to enhance the urban eco-competitiveness,and provides effective policy reference for the construction of the other domestic cities.This paper takes both the urban competitiveness and urban ecological environment into account,extends the research framework of urban competitiveness and eco-city theory,improve research on urban eco-competitiveness of the provincial capitals in central China,and thus promote the city research development of urban eco-competitiveness theory.
