Oil and water separation technology has widely been used in industrial production and daily life.From the industry in the sea,onshore oil extraction fluid separation and sewage degreasing,to the life of the catering industry sewage treatment,they are inseparable from the oil and water separation technology.With the limitation of offshore space and the high water content of the effluent,oil and water separation devices are developing in small,compact and efficient directions.In order to reduce the size of the equipment and improve the separation efficiency,the separation of internal components such as coalescence plate is usually added to the separator.The separation performance of the equipment is determined by the structural parameters and operating parameters of the coalescence plate.However,the mechanism of the above parameters is not clear.So this article is based on this background to research.The self-designed oil-water separation device was used to study the separation performance of the coalescence plate under different flow rate and oil inlet conditions.Fluent software was used to analyze the dispersion of oil droplets with particle size of 10~100?m flow field distribution and oil droplet trajectory,and the results are verified.The separation efficiency and pressure drop analysis of the coalescence plate under the different oil content(3%,5%,volume fraction)?different separation speed(0.05 m / s,0.08 m / s,0.10 m / s,0.12m/ s and 0.15 m / s)and different angle(30 °,60 °)show that the separation efficiency of the coalescence plate decreases with the increase of the flow rate.It can improve the separation efficiency by increasing the initial oil content in a certain range.Especially,in the case of high flow rate,the effect of oil content on coalescence separation is more obvious.The separation efficiency of 60 ° angle is higher than 30 ° angle.The plate pressure drop increases with the increase of flow rate and plate inclination.With the separation process,the concentration of discrete phase oil decreases gradually.By analyzing the distribution of discrete phase concentration at different heights,it can be seen that the concentration of discrete phase increases with the increase of height,which can explain the process of oil droplet of the movement trajectory.By comparing the experimental results with the numerical simulation results,it is foundthat the change trend of the separation efficiency of the coalescence plate is consistent,so it indicates that the method and model in the simulation are reliable.In this paper,the two structural methods are combined to study the structural parameters and operating parameters that affect the oil-water separation performance of the coalescence plate.This has a certain reference for the structural improvement of the separation element and the control of the actual operating parameters.
