Pulley as an important part of belt drive,widely used in automobiles,mining machinery,household appliances,aerospace and other fields.With the increase in market demand,the existing processing efficiency makes it difficult for enterprises to complete the order quantity on time.A suitable tool can effectively improve the processing efficiency and quality of the belt pulley.But the commonly used tool is difficult to take into account both efficiency,quality and cost.To solve the problem of processing efficiency,processing quality and cost.In this paper,according to Martin's belt pulley parts of the processing requirements to carry out a highly efficient cutting of cast iron belt pulley special tool research.The research contents include the research of carbide multi-tooth pulley tool,the analysis of the belt pulley cutting principles,the design and manufacture of the tool,the material and structure improvement of the tool.Mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)First of all,the paper expounds the current status of the belt pulley processing and advances the research of carbide double teeth belt pulley tool which can effectively improve the processing efficiency.Secondly,the cutting principles and cutting force of the belt pulley are analyzed.the belt pulley tool is designed and prepared according to the tool design theory and the technical requirements of the belt pulley parts.(2)The influence of cutting speed on cutting temperature was studied,and the cutting parameters were selected.Firstly,analyzed the change of cutting temperature under different cutting speed based on the simulation of DEFORM software.Secondly,the cutting temperature and the cutting force are measured in the cutting test at different cutting speeds.The cutting speed is 150 m / min by comparison between the finite element analysis and the cutting test.(3)Carried out the research of tool material which affects cutting performance,and improve the tool material.Through the DEFORM simulation and some experimental data,the influence of the mechanical properties of the tool material on the machining quality and the tool life is discussed,which provides the theoretical basis for the improvement of the tool material.(4)The study of cutting performance under different tool structures was carried out.Improved the tool structure.Firstly,the cutting temperature and cutting force under different cutting parameters and the change of chip shape under different cutting parameters were analyzed by simulation method.The improvement of tool parameters was put forward.Secondly,the cutting performance of the tool mechanism is verified by comparing the chip shape and the cutting force of the tool under the different tool structure after the improved cutting parameters.(5)The research on the cutting tool with the similar cutter at home and abroad is carried out,and the service life and market price of the tool are analyzed emphatically.To obtain higher value of the improved tool.
