The main treatment methods of municipal solid waste in China are landfill,composting and incineration. These waste disposal methods have brought a series of problems such as land pollution, water pollution, air pollution, landscape pollution, land wasting and waste of resources. The classification method of circular economy can solve this series of problems, reduce the pollution caused by waste, and improve the utilization efficiency of waste. However, at present, the classification system of domestic waste in our country is still in the pilot stage in some areas, and most of the pilot cities have not been successful. Wuhan failed to be a participant in the pilot program in 2000, but has a unique advantage——It has many colleges and universities, the proportion of college students' number is very high in Wuhan. Therefore, in the city of more "senior intellectual", choosing college students as the main object of the pilot can narrow the scope of the pilot project, improve the success rate of the pilot. In the future, college students will go to the community to build our country. So choosing colleges and universities as a pilot has a very long-term social benefits, economic benefits and ecological benefits.In this paper, I use the method of literature review to understand the current domestic and foreign research status of garbage classification .By studying the domestic and foreign existing and classic classification system about domestic waste, to explore the useful experience and the classical method of the domestic waste classification system. The paper also use the questionnaire investigation method. The college students were selected as the subjects to investigate their habits about the classification of municipal solid waste, and attitudes toward future participation in garbage classification.It is found that the value orientation of college students is in favor of the garbage classification. But they are suffering from the lack of effective system of waste classification and having no convenient access to the knowledge about garbage classification. In response to this phenomenon, the thesis built a trinity waste classification system based on a university pilot program with improved facilities,business recycling & packaging and redesigned labeling system. The system can help developing the recycling economy in Wuhan and improve the utilization of waste resources in Wuhan, what's more, this paper provides a useful reference for the national implementation about the classification system of domestic wastes.This paper narrates according to the following thought: firstly, it sorts out domestic and overseas waste classification system. On that basis, it implements questionnaire by taking Wuhan universities as cases so as to obtain first-hand data. At last, aimed at the status and problems reflected by questionnaire, it designs the system of waste classification pilot in Wuhan.
