Water is one of the most important natural resources for the sustainable development of society and the continuous growth of economy,which is essential for the manufacture and life of human beings.With the rapid growth of economy,more and more water resources have been consumed,and a number of problems associated with water resources,such as water shortage,water pollution and water disasters,have seriously restricted the current economic society development and endangered to environmental quality.Therefore,evaluating the regional water environmental security will be of important significance for promoting the economic and social development,as well as being a prerequisite for maintaining the virtuous circle of the environmental system.Heshangshan drinking-water source area in Three Gorges Reservoir region was chosen as study area.Moreover,the connotations of water environment security as well as the protection requirements of drinking water environmental were determined,and the risk source of study area was discerned.In addition,an index system of water environmental security evaluation was established using the model of Pressure-State-Response,which was currently popular over the word.The index system was built from three angles(i.e.pressure,state and response),which was combined with seven aspects such as “the pressure of water environment”,“water stress”,“social economy” and so on.In this study,entropy method was applied to calculate the weights of indexes for water environment security.Based on the weight and index system,water environment security of the study area from 2010-2014 was assessed through fuzzy comprehensive assessment method.The results show that water environment security level of the study area belongs to common grade,and has a tendency of rising slowly.In another word,water environment of the study area is generally safe.The safety degree of state criterion is relatively stable and less volatile;however,the safety value is not higher with 0.45,the overall condition of state criterion is basic safe.Response criterion is in a not safe state,the safety values show a tendency of decline between 2011 and 2012.The research results can provide decision supports for the management maintenance of Three Gorges Reservoir,as well as guarantee the continuous and stable development for economy and people's drinking water safety.At the same time,the study provided references for other reservoir water source of drinking water environment safety,has great research significance and practical significance.
