The subsea connectors of our country are still in the developing stage,testing standards,testing programs and the connectors test device have not been studied depth. Due to the FAT testing requirements of claw, clamp and bolt flange subsea connectors for marine oil transportation pipelines,this paper design a new type of thermostat pressure testing system for the subsea connectors. The study of pressure and temperature testing method and design of test device for subsea connector have great significance for the development of domestic subsea connector testing device.In order to determine the testing content and indicators of the subsea connector, research the relevant authority standards of domestic and international such as GB/T 22513, ISO 13628, API SEPC 17D, ISO 13679, ISO 21329, API Spec 6A, then determine the designed parameters of the temperature pressure test connectors and temperature pressure cycling. At last come up with the basic program for the hydrostatic pressure testing,temperature and external load composite testing, temperature and pressure cycle testing of the connectors.Through the analysis of the temperature pressure characteristics and the size requirement of the three kinds of subsea connectors as claw, clamp and bolt flange, determine the test requirements for the temperature and pressure testing system. Include the pressure testing range, level, the regulator performance, temperature range, heating and cooling rate, stability of temperature and so on. Analyze the testing hydrostatic pressure,complex testing of hydraulic temperature and external load, cycle testing of temperature and pressure. Design four operating modes for the temperature testing device which includes heating mode, cooling mode,heat thermostat mode and cool thermostat mode. Also design five operating modes for the pressure testing device which includes oil supply mode, pressure supply mode, pressure maintaining mode, pressure control mode and pressure relief mode. Complete the workflow designing for the temperature pressure testing system.Pressure testing device includes a large flow of high pressure pumps, dual-stage backpressure group and solenoid control pneumatic regulator. The pressure testing device can complete the pressure testing of the subsea connector, as the same time can complete the compound test of the temperature and pressure with the temperature testing device. Selection and calculation the major components as the hydraulic pumps,hydraulic valves and tanks.Use the AMESim software simulate the working process of the hydraulic system, then have the curves about the pressure load, the inlet and outlet flow of the connectors, inlet pressure of the electromagnetic ball valve. Finally optimize the pressure system basing on the impact problems which reflected by the curvesTemperature test system is consisted of three parts,the heating unit,the cooling unit and the heat maintaining unit. Finally select heating the oil tank as the heating method,vaporization of the liquid nitrogen as the cooling methods, insulation materials and temperature compensation as the heat maintaining method. Complete the theoretical calculation and analysis to the variable temperature process, then come up with the temperature-time curve and the rate of heat transfer curve for the test sample which during the heating and cooling process. Calculate and analysis the heating of the heater,the exchanged heating of the cooler, the thermal of the insulation materials, the power of the temperature compensation heater.
