Digital printing technology is well known for its low pollution,low consumption,high valueadded,flexible production characteristics.It conforms to the green,environmental protection,sustainable development trends.At the same time,it caters to the fast fashion of "small batch,multiproducts,short delivery" and fits in with the transformation of the future development of the printing and dyeing industry.Digital printing can not be required with the chemical additives and dyes together,so thickener must be pre-applied to the fabric,which is pretreatment print paste.Therefore,in this paper,the pretreatment methods and other relevant aspects about the digital printing of cotton fabric and nylon fabric were researched.The purposes of this paper is to obtain the deeper colors,the smaller color difference of these two kinds of fibers and the better fastness of digital printing for cotton/polyamide fabrics.After the early experimental study,three effective methods of digital printing pretreatment were obtained.Mainly through apparent color quantity and union dyeing property to characterize the quality of digital printing on textiles,then we screen out the process of treatment,which are more appropriate.At last,color fastness to rubbing,color fastness to washing and other performance related of these digital printing fabrics were tested.The first pretreatment method is the conventional process,and the fabric is padded with DM-8812 A paste.The effects of combination of the pretreatment liquid and the steaming conditions on the the quality of digital printing are researched by single factor experiment.The results show that the optimal formula of the pretreatment solution is : 0.8% DM-8812 A,6% urea,6% sodium sulfate and 1% sodium carbonate.And the optimal steaming process is 102°C * 14 min.The second pretreatment method is to treat the fabric with cationic modifier color media at first,and then make the DM-8812 A paste padded on the fabric in optimal treatment condition.The results show that the optimum modification process is as follows: 3%(o.w.f)color media,bath ratio 1:10,immersion at the temperature of 65°C for 20 mins,2g / L DM-2539 G +2 g / L DM-1522 as soaping agents.The third pretreatment method is the use of etherified 2D resin as the pretreatment liquid.Through the padding,drying,digital printing,drying,steaming,baking,soaping and other steps,then digital printing products can be acquired.The effects of reactive dyes and acid dyes on the fabric are discussed by single factor experiment.The results show that the optimum pretreatment of reactive dyes is as follows: pretreatment liquid composition: 100 g / L etherified 2D resin,25 g / L catalyst C-8;drying at room temperature;steaming process 102°C * 13min;baking process160°C * 3 min.And the optimum pretreatment of acid dyes is as follows: pretreatment liquid composition: 100 g / L etherified 2D resin,25 g / L catalyst C-8;drying at room temperature;steaming process 102°C * 13min;baking process170°C * 3 min.In this paper,we find that the first two pretreatment methods can obtain high color yield and fastness of digital printing for cotton/polyamide fabrics.And the color strength and the fastness of fabrics by the second pretreatment method are deeper than the first one.In addition,they have much the same union dyeing property.As to the third pretreatment method,etherified 2D resin is used for treating cotton/polyamide fabrics.Compared to the conventional process,the color deviation between cotton fibre and nylon fibre is relatively small in this approach.The K/S value and the fastness of reactive dyes digital printing by the use of etherified 2D resin as the pretreatment liquid are equivalent to the conventional process.By contrast,the printing fabrics of the acid dyes obtain the lowest color strength and the fastness.However,its identical color ability is optimal all of the above treatment methods.
