The technology of photogrammetry is a kind of methods,which doesn’t need to contact measured objects.Operators can directly measure objects through the digital pictures.And this way will not be restricted by natural and geographical conditions,it can get spatial information of target objects rapidly and accurately.Another advantage is that this method guarantees the status of target objects could not be changed during mesuring.Based on the advantages above,this measuring method can be used for large mechanical equipments and keep operators and targets at a distance to get a safety condition during measuring.Large pumping units locate in a remote and barren area and the environment is changing variably,caused to increase difficulties to get exactly statuses of pumping units.Large scale and heavy weight also enhanced the danger coefficients.Large pumping unit as object of study in this paper,utilizing photogrammetry technology to measure all-size and detect deformation on it.A novel approach is adopted through the comparison between results from photogrammetry and measurement results with theodolite measuring system.Firstly used enter of perspective projection,coordinate system and line of total surface equation as basic theories of photogrammetry,studied photography measurement analysis,calibration for digital cameras and imagining models.And then analyzed the theory of static deformation measurement and the way to calculate this deformation.This paper found a way and chose proper gauges for large pumping units measurement,in order to make a measurement plan for large pumping units.Then compared two different kinds of data that got from photogrammetry and traditional measurement technique to get the accuracy status.Secondly,got static deformation results through simulation experiments,then used UG software to model the pumping unit and did element analysis with Ansys software to verify the precision of that experiment.The result shows that,the precision of static deformation is high under photogrammetry technology,and this way of measurement is suitable for large pumping units measurement.According to problem of size and deformation detection on pumping units,this paper put forward an effective way to solve it and decreased rate of failure during production,increased using life of pumping units at the same time.On the other hand,this paper also put forward some problems haven’t been solved yet,and did expectation for future research.
