With the rapid development of world economy,people demand for oil continues to grow.In recent years,oil-spill accidents and leakage of organic liquids have caused ecological problems,including nearly irreversible damage to ecological systems with major serious consequences in economic,social and health fields.In order to solve the above problems people have been using wood sponge,straw and other traditional oil-absorbing materials to deal with oil.However,these conventional materials have different drawbacks such as low oil absorption rate,poor oil and water selectivity,poor oil retention performance.Therefore,it is very important to study and develop high performance oil absorbing materials and apply them to protect the ecological environment.In this study,this topic research lies in the preparation of a high oil absorption resin with good oil absorption.In this paper,a series of acrylate-based high oil-absorbing resins were prepared on the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign literatures,with butyl acrylate and butyl methacrylate as the main reaction monomer and compounded with various inorganic nano-particles.A series of characterization such as Fourier transmission infrared,contact angle,specific surface area,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy of zinc oxide,manganese dioxide,multi-walled carbon nanotube and four kinds of oil-absorbing resins were carried out,and the oil absorption of the composite resin was also tested.The main work summarized as follows: 1.Synthesis and properties of modified flower zinc oxide composite acrylic high oil absorbing resinThe flower-like zinc oxide?ZnO?was prepared by coprecipitation method and hydrophobically modified with vinyltriethoxysilane?A151?.The contact angle test showed that the modified zinc oxide had good hydrophobicity.The hybrid material of hydrophobic flower-like zinc oxide and butyl acrylate/butyl methacrylate resin was synthesized by suspension polymerization method.The results of oil absorption test showed that when the addition of ZnO is 4wt% the absorption of chloroform,carbon tetrachloride and toluene is larger and which is 30.87 g/g,26.36 g/g and 21.68 g/g respectively.And the absorption scope of organic solvents and oils were 2.0213.68 g/g,1.533.09 g/g respectively.Besides,composite oil absorption resin can effectively remove the pollutants from the water,and has a good regeneration cycle performance.2.Synthesis and properties of hydrophobic sea urchin type manganese dioxide composite high oil-absorbing resinThe sea urchin manganese dioxide?MnO2?was synthesized by hydrothermal method in acidic medium and modified with ?-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane?KH570?which can make MnO2 with the advantage of water resistance.Hydrophobicity test showed that the modified sea urchin manganese dioxide has good hydrophobicity.The composite material of hydrophobic manganese oxide and butyl acrylate/styrene/butyl methacrylate resin was synthesized by suspension polymerization method.The results of oil absorption test showed that when the addition amount of MnO2 was 3wt% the absorption capacity of chloroform,carbon tetrachloride and diesel oil is larger,which is 32.51 g/g,28.85 g/g,2.91 g/g,respectively,and it also has a certain absorption capacity for organic solvents and oils.And composite oil absorption resin can effectively remove the pollutants from the water,and can be recycled several times.3.Synthesis and properties of modified hollow bubble manganese dioxide composite acrylic high oil absorbing resinThe hollow sphere MnO2 was synthesized by hydrothermal method and modified by KH570 and has a good hydrophobicity after modification.The hybrid material of hydrophobic manganese dioxide and Butyl acrylate/methyl methacrylate/butyl methacrylate high oil absorption resin was prepared by suspension polymerization.The results show that when the addition of MnO2 is 3wt%,the oil absorption of the composite oil-absorbing resin is the best,and the composite oil-absorbing resin can effectively remove the pollutants from the water,and has good regeneration cycle performance.4.Synthesis and properties of hydrophobic carbon nanotubes composite high oil absorbing resinThe multiwalled carbon nanotubes?MWCNTs-COOH?were hydrophobically modified by KH570,and has a good hydrophobicity after modification.The hybrid material of hydrophobic carbon nanotubes and butyl acrylate/butyl methacrylate high oil absorption resin was synthesized by suspension polymerization.The results show that when the content of MWCNTs-KH570 is 0.35wt%,the oil absorption of composite oil-absorbing resin is the best,and the composite oil-absorbing resin can effectively remove contaminants from water,and has good regeneration cycle performance.
