The ecological environment is the foundation of the survival and development of human society,The ecological environment of Shaanxi province,located in the west of China,is bad,and Shaanxi province is one of the earliest area in our country where returning farmland to forest and grassland and a series of ecological engineering were implemented.Based on the theory and method of ecological footprint,the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of Shaanxi province during 1995 and 2010 were quantitatively studied,and the inner spatial difference of Shaanxi province was expressed,in order to judge the impact of shaanxi province that the implementation of returning farmland to forest and grassland,and a series of ecological restoration engineering did.At the same time,combined with the concept of "virtual water",analyzing the agricultural production of virtual water in Shaanxi province from time and space,further refining utilization of water resources research.Research conclusions are as follows:(1)Affected by the ecological restoration project,Major changes had taken place in land use structure in Shaanxi province during the study period,farmland and grassland were greatly reduced,woodland had increased significantly,other kinds of land increased slightly;from the slope classification,the larger changes of cultivated land,forest land and grassland was between8°to 35°,the following 8°waters,construction land and unused land was bigger;from the point of space,the forest land of northern Shaanxi and southern Shaanxi changed significantly.(2)The ecological footprint of shaanxi province was on the rise,the largest rise was in energy footprint during the study period,the ecological carrying capacity increased slightly in 2000,and reduced in 2010,it decreased on the whole,ecological deficit was widening;From the point of various land types,the ecological carrying capacity of cultivated land,grassland and water had reduced,the ecological carrying capacity of forest land and construction land increased;Mainly affected by the population,economic development level,policy and historical factors,the ecological footprint and ecological capacity presented regional distribution on the space;the ecological safety degree Shaanxi province reduced,ecological security situation deteriorated,especially in northern Shaanxi.(3)During the study period,virtual water was a growing trend in Shaanxi province agricultural production,the proportion of grain crops was largest,the proportion of economic crops was less,and the proportion of grain crops was on the decline,the proportion of economic crops was on the rise,agricultural structure adjusted constantly and was going to be perfect;the space distribution pattern of total agricultural production virtual water in Shaanxi province was that Guanzhong plain area was higher,northern Shaanxi and southern Shaanxi was lower,it was related to topography,soil,climate,agricultural technology and facilities,and agricultural structure and other factors;agricultural water was increasingly strained and agricultural security was threatened.
