With the rapid development of aerospace,automobile,petrochemical and mechanical equipment manufacturing industry in China,the increasing types and demand of toothed shafts,it also puts forward higher requirements for the precision and mechanical performance of toothed shafts.The traditional processing methods have been unable to satisfy the development needs.The cold rolling toothed shafts has the advantages of high production efficiency,high process precision,good quality of parts and reliable operation,which will undoubtedly become the focus of research and development of toothed shafts forming.At present,this processing method is for small toothed shafts of the batch processing both at home and abroad,ignoring the needs of long-thick toothed shafts.This paper for the needs of driving roll on log-core veneer lathe,on the basis of the original C-type open frame which can not satisfy the request of toothed shafts accuracy,putted forward a new type of structure program on the body of closed cold roll forming machine,and design and research the machine in depth.According to the cold roll forming technology,the design project of the closed cold roll machine is put forward in this paper.In order to ensure the precision of cold roll forming,design the parameters of the key components in the machine including hydraulic cylinder,synchronous gear,slide seat,guide rail,die adjustment mechanism and clamping system,and make some recommendations on the processing and installation of them.According to the components installation size,determine the structure parameters of the machine,and make mechanical check on its strength and stiffness.Based on the cold roll forming machine installation and process,Creo is used to draw and assemble three dimensions of machine body.The kinematic simulation of the cold roll forming machine is carried out by the Creo mechanism movement module in this paper,and checked whether the parts of the machine have collision interference.Through the analysis of the die position,some suggestions are put forward to improve the efficiency.Based on the machining accuracy of the toothed shafts,this paper uses ANSYS Workbench finite element software to establish the static analysis of the cold roll forming machine.In order to meet the comprehensive tangential tolerance,the integrated radial tolerance of the teeth and the cylindricity tolerance of the toothed shaft,set contact of body frame,hydraulic cylinder,slide seat,die,and then run the three-dimensional simulation analysis.According to the analysis results,adjust and improve the parameters of machine structure and preload.The finite element optimization of the upper and lower beam board and the support plates on both is carried out with the aim of the minimum weight and the precision of the toothed shafts,and then reasonable parameters which need to round off optimized dimensions are obtained under the condition of the requirement of the precision of the toothed shafts have been satisfied.The results are returned to the model and the two-dimensional drawings of the machine tool and its components are output according to the 3D solid model.
