The product of cold roll forming has the advantage of reasonable cross section, higher strength, lighter weight and higher use rate of metal, so it is a kind of economic profiled steel. With the rapid development of economy and continuous increasing of people's living level, the cold roll forming products take splendid application foreground. Cold roll forming is a important field of complicated sheet and strip steel manufacturing method. The roll forming is a very complex process, and includes the deformation process with geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and contact boundary nonlinearity. Therefore, the research on cold roll forming technology is a complicated topic. Up to date, nobody has put forward a kind of very perfect and precise analysis method in the world. The design of pass schedules and roll profiles mainly depend on experience.Firstly, this paper introduces domestic and international relevant forming theory and numerical simulation of roll forming process,and compares advantage and shortcoming of different roll forming theory. Then, simplified process and analyzable model of C-style steel according to deforming elastic-plastic macro deforming finite element theory. MARC is used to predict stress and strain distributions predicted by simulations, Next, the general regulation of various forming parameters' effects on the channel section is obtained.At last, The forming process of C-style steel is simulated successfully and the results coincide with experimental result and formula in relational document.Following out the principle that the purpose of science study is to guide produce actual, this paper put forward a piece of referrence advice according to unsatisfied result. Moreover, The research results have aiding function for exploiting of new roll-forming products,designing of roller mould system and controlling of producing process.
