In order to effectively protect the water resources, water environment and water ecology in the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River (Shaanxi section) and play a significant ecological effect, the water ecological carrying capacity of the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River(Shaanxi section) is studied by considering the coupling relationship between water resources,water environment, aquatic ecology and watershed water resources, water environment, water ecology status quo to ensure that river basin ecosystem and human social economy harmonious development, in this paper. Based on the theoretical analysis of the aquatic ecological carrying capacity of the basin, building the SD model of aquatic ecological carrying capacity of the upper reaches of Hanjiang River (Shaanxi section) based on"economic-social-aquatic ecology".The simulation results of aquatic ecological carrying capacity of river basin were analyzed and predicted to determine the better development plan of the watershed.The three conclusions are as followings:Firstly, the characteristic and influence factors of the aquatic ecological carrying capacity of the basin are discussed based on the sustainable development and the results about the research of the water resources, environment and eco-environmental present situation.Secondly, according to position and river system, the eco-environmental water demand is divided into outside and inside river water demand. Based on the control section to amount to mark, water environmental capacity model was established and water environmental capacity of COD was quantitative analysed. Calculation of habitat area of fish by improved habitat area calculation method.Lastly, established in water system dynamics modle of ecological carrying capacity of the Hanjiang River (Shaanxi section), and quantify the seven schemes to improve the aquatic ecological carrying capacity of the basin to determine the better development plan of the watershed.
