With the rapid development of higher education in China,the scale of running higher education institutions and the number of people in the school has been rising,as well as the amount of water and sewage in the campus has increased rapidly.Therefore,colleges and universities have become the big one that uses a lot of water and emits large amount of pollutants.Hence,do a good job in colleges and universities "water" and "emission reduction" work,has a positive role in promoting solving the city’s water crisis and water pollutions.Compared to the urban sewage and industrial wastewater,the composition of campus sewage is relatively simple and easy to handle,whgic are very suitable as the raw water in the water reuse.Besides,the use of fresh water on the campus can be replaced by the reclaimed water and the the amount consumed is much higher,such as road pouring,green irrigation and flushing and so on.Therefore,in order to realize the zero discharge of pollutants and the maximization of water resources in campus,it is feasible and necessary to construct water reuse system in colleges and universities.In this study,the systemic research was carried out foucs on the water resue treatment technology research and engineering design in Yangling Vocational and technical College.Based on the extensive literature reading and filed investigation,the feasibility and practical significance of water reuse in colleges and universities was systematic analysed;the system compositon,treatment technology and operation status of water reuse project in some colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province were also investigsted;combined with the school sewage quality and water characteristics,the water reuse system was designed and constructed;in order to ensure the normaloperation of the reuse system,the detailed water balance was designed according to the different water consumption in different seasons;based on the systematic analysis and comparison of common sewage treatment technology and processing,the most mature and popular analytic hierarchy process in system engineering was used to select the scientific and objective comparison of three althernative processes;after careful and complicated calculation,the processing technology with A2/O-MBR as the core treatment technology is the best process,and the preliminary design of the processing unit and its structure,general layout design and so on were carried out;finally,the investment and operation cost of the reclaimed water project were analyzed,the results show that the total investment amount of the project is 7.359 million yuan,and the running cost is about 0.40 yuan/m3 water,the economic and environmental benefits are very signigficant.
