Disc cam because of its simple structure and easy processing widely used in ship,automobile,textile machinery,etc.Disc cam main processing method is the numerical control machining,CNC machining posses the low utilization rate of materials,the low productivity,not suitable for mass production.For disc cam processing research mainly focused on the improvements on the original numerical control equipment,numerical control processing technology research and the computer aided design and manufacture of cam,Cam processing of new methods for study hardly.Compared to machining that the structure and performance of rolling forming are improved,the material utilization and the production efficiency are higher,and more suitable for mass production.Hot rolling is the main method of processing profiles production.Conventional hot rolling production requires a lot of different type slot of rolling pass,so needs long pass design,long roll processing,more set of roll and the high cost.To this end,this paper puts forward a new method of hot rolling cam: using a pair of fixed groove,changing the roll gap to obtain the rolling pass,to obtain the expected cam.Using the rigid-plastic finite element method to simulate the rolling passes,billet diameter,initial temperature and roll speed and friction coefficient of rolled part respectively effects on the deformation area of metal flow.With the increase of the rolling number,the filling of the mill is better,but the metal spillage at the seams is gradually increasing.As the diameter of the billet is increased,the equivalent strain of the part is increasing,and the equivalent strain uniformity is more ideal.With the increase of the initial temperature of the piece,the temperature distribution of the part isnot uniform.With the increase of roll speed,the temperature distribution of the rolled parts increased gradually,and the uniformity of the equivalent strain decreased.By orthogonal test,determining the optimal experiment scheme: the initial temperature of 1100 ?,roll speed of 30 r/min,the billet diameter of 72 mm.In ? 160×160 mm two high reversing mill on cam rolling experiment.The geometric shape of the rolling piece is consistent with the simulation result,and the distribution of grain size distribution is the same as that of simulated equivalent strain size distribution.The new process method has low cost,high material utilization,and quick production speed.It can provide the important theory and the practical guidance meaning to processing cam.
