The iron ore processed by Yanshan Iron Mine of Hebei Iron Steel Group Mining Co.Ltd is a lowgrade refractory hematite.The mineral processing technology applied is stage-grinding,coarse and fine classification,gravity separation-high intensity magnetic separation and anionic reverse flotation.Since the mining was put into operation,the fluctuation of tailings grade and concentrate grade is larger.Due to the uneven size of the first grinding product,fine-grained iron minerals are not recovered effectively in the spiral chute,magnetic separation and flotation operations.In this paper,the optimization of the hematite beneficiation process is carried out.The low and high intensity magnetic separation are added before the coarse and fine classification to throw away the tailings in advance.And the mixed magnetic concentrate abtained is put into the follow-up operations.The optimized pilot study on subsequent operations was carried out.The purpose of increasing the process adaptability and stable selection indicators is finally achieved.Firstly,the laboratory simulation test of the field process is carried out.The simulation test indicators and field production indicators are closer.And on this basis,the author conducted process optimization of the low and high intensity magnetic discarding tailings on the products from the firststage cyclone overflow.Test results show that the yield of up to 39.82% of qualified tailings and slime can be thrown in advance.The tailings grade is 3 percentage points lower than the integrated tailings grade at the production site.The feeding grade of the graded hydrocyclone can be increased by 9.42 percentage points.And the tailings discarding is helpful for the gravity separation and flotation operations.The selection process in the re-election process does not require a midding cycle;the three scavengings in the flotation process is reduced to one.Equipment selections show that the optimized operations need add 12 CTB1230 magnetic separators,16 SLon-2000 high intensity magnetic separators,two ball mills of MQY2700×3600 and two cyclones of FX250×8.And the optimized technology can save 2,108,700yuan/a,the final selection production increases by 254,600 t/a,and the annual benefit increases by 76,380,000 yuan/a.The research results can provide some technical reference for improving the selection index of hematite in Yankan Iron Mine and increasing the economic efficiency of enterprises.
