Line-contact steel wire rope because of its high tensile,density coefficient,wear resistance,fatigue resistance,etc will replace point contact rope gradually being widely used in many fields such as the mine production,bridges,ports,aviation and aerospace.Especially,large diameter steel wire rope usually undertake key function in normal operation,once failure occurs will cause serious life and property security incidents.Therefore,researches on the mechanical properties rope and fatigue life of line-contact steel wire is of great significant to improve the level of reliability.This dissertation,taking wire rope 6×25Fi+FC-40 as the object of study,systematically investigates the aspect of environmental loads,structural and structural mechanics,contact mechanics,finite element simulation of steel wire rope.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,it mainly analyzes the structural characteristics of the rope,an accurate computational two-layered strands 3D solid model is established using Pro E software.According to differential geometry,calculation method of curvature of wires is put forward,which is prepared for the next research.Secondly,both structure size relationship of steel wire rope and Costello,Phillips elasticity theory for ordinary rope were combined to propose mechanical model of line-contact steel wire rope(Fi).And then given a method to calculate tensile stress,torsion stress,bending stress,shear stress and contact stress of wires in rope.Finally,according to the finite element method(FEM),applied ANSYS software one of steel wire rope's strands is simulated based on finite element method,by comparing with the experimental data,the correctness of the mechanical model of the filled wire rope is verified.
