Filler is often used during the production of paper-process reconstituted tobacco to improve the physical properties.More importantly,through improve the air permeability and combustion efficiency,to achieve the purpose of a comfortable suction taste and tar harm reduction.In the application of filler,however,wastage rate,white water pollution and other issues is serious and heavy.To solve these problems,on the premise of food security of the tobacco industry,some methods of papermaking filler modification were used for reference,to realize its application in the reconstituted tobacco.A comprehensive research was conducted about the application of three kinds of fillers(light calcium carbonate,diatomite,talcum powder)in the Apocynum reconstituted tobacco in the paper.Based on that,PCC filler was modified by cationic chitosan and carboxymethyl cellulose.Modification process was optimized through the response surface method,then the effect of modified PCC on physicochemical properties and pyrolysis properties of base-sheet was also researched.Explore how modification filler to improve the quality of reconstituted tobacco was explored to provide some theoretical basis for the application of modified filler.It showed that the addition of filler improved the filler retention,permeability property,what's more,thickness,air permeability,bulk and other physical indexes were also gradually improve,while intensity property was declined.It has also improved the combustion performance of base sheet,resulted in a reduction of CO content,total particular matter and tar release quantity.Comparative analysis showed that the PCC is the most ideal filler and the optimum dosage is 20%.The best preparation process of modified PCC by the response surface optimization experiment namely was: the ratio of CMC and CCS was 2.9,stirring speed was 540 r/min,the mixing time was 15.5 min.The modified PCC particle size got bigger,dispersion and uniformity got improved,polyampholyte complexes deposited on the PCC surface very well.Compared with the unmodified PCC,modified PCC showed the good retention performance,weakened the falling trend of strength properties.The burning rate increased by 0.12 mm/s and emission content of harmful components of smoke gas was also reduced.Thermogravimetric analysis showed that pyrolysis trend of three paper-base was consistent,the pyrolysis process of base sheet had three stages,quality loss from 200? to 500? was about 50%.The major components conducted pyrolysis reaction in this stage.The No.3 sample with loose and porous microstructure and bigger air permeability had higher thermal decomposition temperature and lower thermogravimetric loss rate.The pyrolysis analysis showed that pyrolysis products of three base sheet under low temperature were unitary,mainly including esters,aldehydes.450? is strong pyrolysis reaction temperature,pyrolysis products were more complex,aromatic compounds at 750? easily produced.Pyrolysis products of the two sample were similar.The addition of filler catalyzed the decomposition of cellulose and hemicellulose,caused most of the ingredients decomposing completely in the 400-500?.These compounds such as ketones,phenols,aldehydes that contributes to smoking quality released a larger quantity.while it had inhibitory effect on content of toxic substances such as benzene series.
