As an important chemical raw materials and primary energy,oil is important and the utilization rate of it is very high.Oil rig is an important equipment in the process of oil extraction,and it has been mostly driven by electric,but the majority of drilling equipment in the electromechanical driven system are inductive load,which will increase the reactive power and the system capacity,reducing power factor,deteriorating the power quality,and it will influence other equipment.Therefore,the real-time study of reactive power compensation has became a real issue.This paper analyzed the advantages and the disadvantages of the current common device.For example,thyristor controlled reactor(TCR),thyristor switched capacitor(TSC)and Static Var Generator(SVG)and other devices,combined with the actual situation of the loads,designed a TCR + FC hybrid real-time dynamic reactive power compensation device,and realized dynamic reactive power compensation to the rig.In this paper,DSP of TMS320F2407 is the main CPU controller,and used a programmable logic controller PLC as the control actuator,designed the monitoring interface and achieved a range of protection features,including over-voltage protection,low voltage protection,short circuit protection,overload protection.At last we tested the function of the compensator through field trials.Experimental results show that the development of TCR + FC hybrid real-time dynamic reactive power compensation device is stable,fast response,accurate calculation of the compensation amount,with good practical results.
