In China the fields are mostly continental sedimentary reservoir,with complex deposition conditions and quite different physical properties.Among them,there is a special kind of reservoir-----the heavy oil reservoir with bottom water.This kind of reservoir has serious heterogeneity,active bottom water and the viscosity of crude oil formation is higher.So it is difficult to development.There is no effective way to develop today.Compared with conventional reservoirs,bottom water coning is the biggest problem in reservoir with bottom water.Due to coning,water break through early,the short-term water free production period,water cut increase fast,high costs of production and poor economic of production problem.Based on the above problems,with reference to the development technology of both domestic and abroad bottom-water reservoirs,composite study is performed on zhan5 block in Taiping oilfield.Reservoir engineering method and numerical reservoir simulation are used to study the main problems occur in this reservoir.The viability of horizontal well technology and artificial barrier technology as well as the water coning control by producing water are studied in this thesis.The suitable adjustment plan is proposed,which is helpful to obtain a stable and efficient development for the field,to get better economic benefit,and provide a reference to improve the development results for the similar reservoirs.By studying on the stabilizing oil and controlling water technology in Taiping Zhan5 reservoir,it found that the production far exceeding the critical production in the block of horizontal wells.This result the water increasing rapidly.When the artificial barrier technology is used,the artificial barrier size should be between 1/2 to 3/4 of the reservoir and the water contact area,and should reducing the liquid production to slow down the bottom water coning.Studying the adaptability for zhan5 of downhole water sink technology,and get the best drainage rate and the best liquid production rate.After comparison this three techniques we can know that the downhole water sink technology is relatively well for zhan5 reservoir.
