The Research Of Composite Material Based On Shape Memory Polymer

Shape memory polymer is a kind of special polymer which has a function of remembering its deformation.Its Young modulus is low at high temperature,and is high at low temperature.This kind of feature make it possible use this material to generate some special structure.This paper present an idea to use a wavy fiber strengthen composite with shape memory polymer matrix material to produce the imitation sharks' skin material.The sharks' skin has a function of reducing the drag in fluid.So it can be used as the airplane skin to reduce the drag during the flight.This paper first introduces the method of manufacture the material.The material is consist of fiber and matrix made by styrene.The styrene has a great ability to Permeate other things which make the craft difficult.The method this text proposed solved this problem.Two constitutive model are proposed.First is used to predict the wavy fiber displacement in out of plane direction which prove that different point have different displacement on fiber.It leads to the groove structures' formation.The second model elaborated the strain-stress relation when the material has a large deformation.The expression of flexible matrix is given.This paper use Abaqus to simulate the forming proces s of groove structure.The visualization and result is given.We found that the groove structure formed.And its size reached the norm to be imitation sharks' skin structure.When the force reached 10 Mpa,The groove size is about 50 ?m.So we change the drag force to observe the grooves' size.And we plot the displacement-force graph.We found that the relationship between displacement and force is linear.We also choose the result when the force is 80 Mpa.We choose ten points in fiber and export the displacement of these points.We plot the displacement-X coordinate graph and compare it to the constitutive theory.In this text,we have done a lot of experiments such as static tension,DMA experiment and use electron microscope observed the material after it is stretched.And the parameter got in these experiments is used in simulation job.
