For the past few years,competition in the market of steel is fierce.Steel production was saturated and facing overcapacity problems.If the major iron and steel enterprises want to survive in the current market environment,they must develop the advanced technologies,processes and equipment to improve production efficiency and material utilization ratio.Now endless rolling technology is the most advanced rolling process of the world.Its continuous rolling method of endless rolling can improve production efficiency and material utilization ratio.Several sets of endless rolling equipment that introduced in the domestic exist several questions the process that the latter billet catching up with the front one is unstable and low precision tracking during the billet heating process,so it is necessary to develop the endless rolling equipment with own intellectual property rights and suitable for national conditions that will have far-reaching implications for the future of steel rolling industry.This paper is based on the endless rolling equipment introduced by Tangshan Iron and Steel Company introducing the platform of endless rolling multi-drives that developed by ourselves.It makes a simple interpretation for the hardware configuration and the mechanical structure of platform and completes the design of electrical control cabinet.The motion system of the endless rolling platform is the position servo system and position servo system controlling is based on the position signal that real-time accurately collected.Intelligent I / O module FM450-1 does not take up CPU resources and it has high sampling frequency to directly deal with on-site sampling pulse.So it can meet the endless rolling platform position servo system requirements.This paper is based on the endless rolling platform,using intelligent I / O module FM450-1 as the tools for collecting the billet position signal of the platform.It analyzes and studies the key components intelligent I / O modules FM450-1 application in the position loop control system and based on it writing the control programs of the platform position control system.Then it is based on the establishment of the system equivalent model analyzing and studying the platform control strategies.It analyzes the PID,Fuzzy PID simulation and compares PID with Fuzzy PID through S7-400 PLC programming on the platform.The results show that FM450-1 can be satisfied with meeting accuracy requirements in the position control of the platform ? By writing platform control programs,we can achieve a good simulation of endless rolling process.The simulation and experimental results of PID and Fuzzy PID show that it is successful using Fuzzy PID on the platform,that can effectively improve billets catching up speed andtracking accuracy and it have the high value to improve the endless rolling control system.
