As the most advanced steel processing technology,the endless rolling technology adopts the continuous rolling method,which can increase the economic benefits and improve the steel production quality.So it has profound siginificance to the development of steel rolling industry in our country.Based on the endless rolling technology,We developed a endless rolling test platform to simulate the billet chasing and welding machine following process,in order to improve the quickness and accuracy of the two steel billet in the chasing process,this platform uses intelligent control algorithm.This paper analysis the algorithm and does some experiments to verify the advantages of variable universe fuzzy PID controller.This article designes the mechanical structure and control part of the endless rolling test platform,this platform has simulated the billet chasing and welding machine following process successfully,the control part contains S7-400 PLC and upper computer to control the two processes.In order to improve the control effection,we designed PID?fuzzy adaptive PID and variable universe fuzzy PID controllers,using SIMULINK to model and simulate to verify their feasibility.After that,we apply the designed three controllers to the endless rolling test platform,and use WINCC6.0 software to monitor the system.Simulation and experimental results show that the control effection of variable universe fuzzy PID controller is better than PID and fuzzy adaptive PID in response speed?steady precision and interference resistance.
