As a common catalyst in polyester fiber industry, Sb-containing compound is released in the production of downstream industry such as spinning and textile printing, which causes damage for environment. The toxicity, bioavailability and increasing pollution of antimony all make great significance for studying the source and emission characteristics of Sb in spinning and textile printing, as well as providing an effective and feasible processing technology. In this work, a sewage treatment plant was chosen as the study object. The study verified the source and emission characteristics of sewage water and Sb in sewage treatment plant, created Sb emission inventory in main Sb-related companies, and established Sb balance in the source of sewage treatment plant. Meanwhile, this study analyzed the origin of Sb in water jet loom and textile printing industry, in order to establish material balance of Sb in the production process. On this basis, the study proposed a kind of technology to dispose sewage with low Sb concentration(100?g·L-1). Main results were as follows:1. Analysis of emission characteristics about sewage and Sb in sewage treatment plant. In 2005,among the sewage treatment plant companies, textile printing industry's sewage made up 55.2% of the total sewage, and its Sb discharge was 97.4%in the total amount of Sb discharge, which was the main source of sewage treatment plant's Sb pollution. By establishing the balance of Sb in the source of sewage treatment plant, it was known that the total amount of Sb emission in textile printing industry, water jet loom industry and domestic sewage was 866.9 kg. The total amount of Sb in sewage treatment plant's inlet water was 1062.9 kg, with a relative error of 18.4%. Besides, Sb in sewage treatment plant's inlet and outlet water existed as Sb(V) form.2. Origin analysis of Sb pollution in water jet loom industry. According to results, the average concentration of Sb in water jet loom industry's sewage was 9.4 ?g·L-1 and Sb existed as Sb(V) form. The average loss amount of Sb in cloth was 2.2 mg·kg-1, with an average loss rate of 2.1%. Therefore, the release of Sb in water jet loom industry was low, which means water jet loom industry is not the main origin of Sb pollution in sewage treatment plant.3. Origin analysis of Sb pollution in textile printing industry. During the textile printing process, Sb was released through desizing, washing and dyeing section, and Sb existed as Sb(V) form. The release volume of Sb in each production process of textile printing industry was listed from the most to the least as:dyeing>desizing>washing. The average loss of Sb in two textile printing companies'cloth samples were 13.0% and 33.4% respectively. During each craft section, the average loss amount of Sb were 7.0 mg·kg-1 and 46.3 mg·kg-1 respectively. The total amount of Sb in five kinds of cloth before and after production were very close, with certain error.4. Study of FMBO absorbing material to dispose low Sb-containing sewage. After redox coprecipitation, FMBO absorbing material had larger superficial area and developed pore structure. Its main components were Fe2O3 and MnO2. The absorbing ability of FMBO was better than HFO and HMO. Under best condition (initial pH was 3.0,dosage amount was 0.20 g·L-1),the removal rate of Sb in 100 ?g·L-1 simulation wastewater reached 99.0%, and achieved absorbing balance in 20 min.
